Was once an excellent place to work, but declined over time.
Main company objective was to drive up stock price and bolster upper management bonuses. Used strict policy of management by objective. Objectives were set a year in advance and were usually vague and could not be changed for the year once set. Used forced ranking for employee evaluations. Ranked employees on Bell Curve in each department, regardless of performance. (Someone had to be great and someone had to suck) Benefits were steadily reduced over the years. Company always looked to shift cost to employees, customers, and suppliers. Merit and cost of living raises disappeared. This coupled with ever increasing insurance costs resulted in steady decreases in take home pay for the last several years. Profit sharing was never as promised. The company came to prefer younger cheaper foreign workers over older experienced workers. On the positive side vacation time was good and co-workers were excellent to work with.

No creativity for floor help
I was young when I started at Sealed Air. They paid for my education, even though the dont do well at advancing employees from within the company. This place taught me i hate manufacturing, so I would not return
Prosgreat benefits, job security
Consbad company culture, too much work.

Great place to work.
Loved my job at Sealed Air. They are currently re-organizing and downsizing.

Great place to work and a good long term plan if your job is not outsourced to a low cost country.
The company is overall a great place to work but more of the corporate functions are being outsourced here than any other place I've worked before. So it's great until they can fulfill your role someone where that's lower cost. It's not only the manufacturing jobs leaving the country.

Clickish. Favoritism
Would be great if one man didn't control the entire company. It's his way or the highway. Every manager is too busy kissing his butt to make good decisions for employees.

Fun Working Environment
I really enjoyed working for this company. I learned so much throughout my time from great leaders. Leaders became mentors to their teams and cross functional teams. I enjoyed working with the people on a daily basis as it was a very fun, collaborate environment. Things got done in a fun environment!

Sealed Air/ Diverseycare, was a great company when the Johnson family owned it. Once it got sold, every thin promised to you went out the window. You were on road five days a week, only saw your family on weekends. no advancements, raises only happen to same people each year.

ProsOttima mensa fresca, pause caffè regolari, permessi ecc.
