Overall Reviews at Schnucks

Some management isn’t the best to work for.
I like the people I work with but there are no chance for advancement or pay increase unless it’s with the union which is our yearly raise of $.25. It would be nice for them to give raises for hard workers.
ProsGood insurance
ConsNo pay raises unless it’s with the union.

Great Managers
Schnuck's was extremely stressful for me at first, but once I got in the groove of things, things fell into place. My first couple months were spent proving myself to management, I felt pretty replaceable even tho I was giving them my all. But I don't really blame them, I feel like they go through a lot of people. Soon after, they saw my hard work and began rewarding me with more hours and raises and it really motivated me. They spoke of promoting me, but there were no management positions opening up at the time and I was not looking to relocate. Decided that it was time for me to move on, but I do really appreciate the training and kindness I have received from management.
ProsPaid lunches, flexible hours
ConsHeavy lifting, slow to promote
