Horriable company to work for !
This company buys out cheese factories and close them down just for the reason to get rid of the competitor . They have done it to 2 I have worked for in the last 25 years and I know they have done it to dozens of others ! No room for advancement only a kick to the unemployment line!

Lessons learned when there is no work life balance
As a technician the work was fun and I was a able to grow and develop into QA supervisor where I learned even more through additional training and experiences with many different departments with different challenges. As QA manager I was left alone to complete the tasks of three leads for 4 months before help was hired there was minimal support from upper level management

no respect
if you work hard, they will push you to the point that you because stressed out. they don't care about you. management are bullies and use there power of authority to get involve with female employees. if male employees talk to the female employee the manager involved with her will do every thing he can to get the male employee fired and the plant manager swill not listen to the employees only to the other managers and will not do investigation but will say he will.

one big melting pot of great people
This plant was one of the best places I've ever worked at. The work force is very diverse. I worked under a grumpy old maintenance supervisor that everyone loved to hate, We knew our backs would always be covered. If things didn't go right. He stold by his crew. When working with the people on the floor. You realize they are dedicated to excellence. The product and the plant was a big source of pride. with the employees
ProsI look back and smile at the impact the employes had on my life
ConsIt's a food plant has to run 24/7. so you will be doing shifts

This is no longer the company that hired me seven years ago.
This Canadian company recently purchased our division from Dean Foods. Our area controller was replaced and the work environment has gone down hill.

poor management one sided
poor management, working for that company ended up being my most humiliating job ever, management is all male and all alpha, good pay good benefits but too many hours no days off

Fast based production plant
Depending on area, it is typlical setup as well as production planning for the day. I learned many skills by being flexible and put in many different production areas. I was also able to acquire my pasteurization ticket for high temp short time pressure systems. Workplace culture is pretty much typical production facility, with many employees. Focus being production while being safe as well. The hardest part of job can be the shiftwork. The most enjoyable part of job is learning new tasks, as well as employee incentives.
