Overall Reviews at Sam's Club

Sam's was very good to it's employees. The employees were good together and worked together even if they were in different departments.
I loved working there. I met alot of great people. Some I still am in touch with. They only thing I really saw that was wrong was the security could have been much better. Other than that, Sam's was awesome.

Good people, but bad management. Especially from the top!
You will be worked to death with no loyalty returned. Literally nearly break for back for them, get layed off. Come back 3 months later, start from the bottom!

Employees are Cool
Good place to work, great pay. If you need a job I would recommend. They do have a point system so you might want have your ducks in a row because they can build quickly.

You dont get compensated for your hard work or amount of hours you put in..
I've often asked if it was possible to be compensated instead of cutting hours for the overtime worked, which varied from 3-6 hours OT. In response they never gave me a answer or a proposition, instead they terminated me for asking about being properly compensated for the amount of overtime worked.
ProsGreat blue vested employees and green vested team leads.

nice workplace..
Good place to work. Surrounded by very nice people to work with. There are different departments you can work at. I loved it. Worked well with your scheduling. Helped you with any situations you may have within the workplace. Make sure you are knowledgeable about importance of the club by testing within the months.

Be wary of management
Was a decent place to work. Management is absolutely horrible. They just stand around and talk. If you need help, they get very snotty. Hours are all over the place. Don't get many one week and the next you live there.

Room for advancement
The company provided room for advancement. High preforming employees move up quickly and are given opportunities to join management or management equivalent positions.

Shady Management In a Typical Retail Setting
In my time at Sam's Club, managers would degrade employees in plain sight, there was constant favoritism which ruined advancement opportunities, the workplace was extremely negative and demanding, and the commute was definitely not worth the compensation.

Good place to work
A place to grow professionally, a place to learn different types of duties. Sam's club is a good place to start a job experience and whith that used to escalate for better positions in the future.

It's alright
It all depends on how you handle the work you're given.

Estresante
