Overall Reviews at RR Donnelley

Shift work
It was okay while I was there. Management gave you plenty of time to learn a technical and involved job. The business changed in terms of volume, so half of us got the chop. It happens.

Easygoing
I worked there because I needed to be in Indianapolis for my mother with Alzheimers. I happened to be lucky when I found them because they turned out to be great people to work with. I thought management was fair, always plenty to do, and there are performance incentives. I would work there again.

The People
The bad the total disregard for their employees. At one time RRD was a great place to work with very good benefits.
With the change in management came a lack of caring about the people who work at RRD

I am retired from this company.
There have been a number of management missteps over the past few years. The stock price is now under one dollar per share. I'm not confident that this company would be a viable long-term fit for a young man job seeker.

To much work
Constantly on your feet, the place is not a bad place to work just tha you have to be on your feet the entire time. Little breaks, and most importantly, little pay.

Lack of career advancement, competitive work environment
Work at the facility for almost 9 years. Casual work environment. Can be stressful at times. The only reason that I left is due to lack of career advancement.

Lay off
Unfortunately we were laid off after years of dedicated service. Once our smaller company was bought out things changed. Our business was growing however with more and more electronic checking and online bank transactions, the need for printed material declined.

Good Place to work
Good leadership and work colleagues. I found the company was well structured and had an excellent work life balance. There was a good team ethos to provide help to all staff employed by RRD.

Challenging and always changing...
New projects to develop and implement, with limited investment capability, demanding creative solutions and deploying all the Human Resources capabilities to get the job done.
Strong continuous and permanent Focus on HR safety, environmental issues of the business.
Opportunity to interact with ALL the departments of a corporate multinational operation, in and outside of Brazil.
The most difficult part of the job was the constant re-structuring requirements to adjust to a challenging market and economy.
The mos enjoyable aspect was to share the success of the well succeeded projects with the whole crew.
ProsInteresting demanding environment to develop skills
Consmarket dying and lack of new potential investment strategies in the country.
