Just a stepping stone
They need to hire the right people to manage and show leadership at their stores and not people who is power stroke or used to get bullied in high school but in all the people is a plus

Non-stop, hard work job.
Many jobs in one. Need customer service skills, combined with polished steady work ethic. Show off attention to detail, maintain constant cleanliness, and require no supervision to complete tasks
ProsUnion, hrs, overtime pay, constant work
Cons2 mandatory clocked out 15 mins breaks

Worst job
They cheated me out of money and instructed to perform as a supervisor without supervisor pay. If possible find a better job this place is unprofessional and unorganized.

Awful place to work
Management gets in your face and any time a co worker or a subordinate disrespects you, they tell you to "brush it off". Its the only job i know where a subordinate can cuss out their supervisor and have no reprocussions.
ProsNo pros whatsoever
ConsEverything from the pay to the people you have to work with

Productive work environment, plenty of growth opportunities
Working at RD was a phenomenal experience. I started off as a basic retail stocker. Less than a year later i was an assistant manager in the meat department. Less than a year after my position in the assistant manager department, i was awarded the privilege of becoming the meat department manager. I learned the business swiftly. I had plenty of experience dealing with corporate as well as upper management. Their is plenty of in house growth. I enjoyed learning so much at restaurant depot as well as the phenomenal customer i met and serviced.
ProsPretty flexible schedule, great customers
ConsAudits were brutal, corporate was useless at times

Restaurant Depot
A typical day at work involves laying out a monthly catalog that gets mailed out to 35 stores throughout the United States. We work on a tight deadline and work long hours to get the job done. The most enjoyable part about the job is how I have grown as a designer with my skills in graphic design and marketing.
ProsI am able to ask my bosses questions, and learning new things
Consshort breaks or working through lunch
