Overall Reviews at QUAD

When I started there was a teamwork concept
I honestly cannot recommend Quad. My reviews based on my personal experience there have been denied. It was not a very good experience for me. Needless to say, I was pleased in returning to my old job at another printing company after my time at Quad.
ProsBeautiful facility. On site health clinic.
ConsShort breaks, long hours, low pay

I had too much going on in my time there, unfortunately
During my time at Quad Graphics, I learned quite a bit. I performed my job well, and advanced rather quickly. I unfortunately had a family member close to me that passed away so I really was employed there at the wrong time. There is a lot of opportunity, and they have GREAT benefits.

At Quad, they allow you to go as far as you want. Sometimes you do not get the compensation for as far as you go.
I enjoy working at Quad. We have gone from an employee owned company to a company that always has to answer to the shareholders. I feel like that has changed our core values.

Productive and Amazing Management
The job duties were great and the workplace culture was inspiring and inventive. You always felt like management was on your side and if you had any problems at all you now they would work with you for anything.

Quad/Graphics
Great place to work with a friendly/positive culture.
Hardest part of the job is knowing that there isn't much room for advancement and that your salary will never increase substantially.

Diverse exposure to sys admin functions supporting a very successful business unit
Never a dull moment while working as a sr sys admin directly supporting the Postal Solutions business unit, we were exposed to a wide variety of sys admin functions including everything from R&D, to design to product procurement to installation to long-term support. With a 3 year lifecycle for most equipment that involved annual reviews, we were constantly kept fresh with modern technology. Working with hardware, operating systems, 3rd party software and and in-house software including support of all. Allowed to work in big projects individually and as a team as well as nuts-and-bolts user support issues. Server and storage support always had something happening to keep us busy and as a team with an incredible director, we dramatically grew our business into what it was. I was very proud to be a part of this team.
ProsDiversity in projects and duties, nothing ever got old or stale.
ConsSince 2011 when Quad started aggressively acquiring companies, it was never the same place and although job security never seemed like an issue, my job being eliminated was difficult to understand.
