Position Summary
The Commercialization Manager will manage the commercialization duties for their respective Coca-Cola Refreshments region. The vision is to achieve the long-term strategic and tactical sales and distribution plan for the Monster brand portfolio in support of the Company's business objectives. The objective is to grow volume, share and profits within the Coca-Cola Refreshments "CCR" region in which the individual is responsible for while partnering and building strong relationships, both externally and internally.
Essential Job Functions:
- Managing CCR region Local Marketing Funds "LMF" dollars by Market Unit "MU" and by category with budgets updated and made current on a monthly basis
- Manage volume and share driving opportunities within the CCR region
- Be seen as the expert on the CCR region and MU's in their respective region
- Manage the use of dealer loaders, POS, coolers and equipment to ensure that they are used correctly for the maximum benefit to MEC
- Provide sales updates routinely to all key CCR and MEC personnel on their respective region, complete with analysis of the respective numbers
- Build a strong network of relationships within the CCR organization which will enable strong communication and results
- Manage any incentives which are implemented by CCR on behalf of MEC
- Maintain accurate knowledge of distribution status for each MU within the CCR region
- Manage Supply Chain issues to ensure that our brands are forecasted, ordered, warehoused and delivered in an appropriate manner
- Create weekly agendas for the CCR Monday conference calls to ensure that Monster is allotted time
- Responsible for communicating customer activity and marketing events to ensure that these get placed into the CCR Look of Success on DASH
- Manage customer promotional and pricing issues which need follow-up within the CCR region
- Present decks on Monster performance, issues and opportunities to all appropriate meetings and groups such as the Commercialization Meetings and SOVP Meetings. Facilitates these meetings when appropriate.
- Spend time in the local markets to ensure that Monster execution is occurring at the desired levels, and also to maintain a current knowledge of competitive activity and pricing
- Shares knowledge and Best in Class examples with peers
- Expands involvement to Coca-Cola Independents when appropriate.
Position Requirements:
- Six to ten years of sales experience in a retail, broker and distributor sales environment
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience, preferably in Business, Marketing, or Finance
- Strong leadership, negotiation, and communication skills (both verbal and written)
- Possesses an understanding of CCR and the Coca-Cola System
- Proactively communicate with management from both CCR and MEC
- Ability to represent the Company in a professional manner and possess a strong work ethic
- Self-Starter who takes proactive initiative
- Good judgment and decision making skills
- Excellent at managing time, priorities, and expenses
- Able to work independently while being a team player
- Proficiency using Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- Experience with forecasting, Nielsen/lRI, POS and Inventory reports
- Flexibility to travel as needed
