Primary Purpose:
The primary purpose of the General Manager is to provide leadership, guidance and support to the team while fostering the Atrium Hospitality culture to deliver an excellent guest and associate experience while leading the operations and financial performance of the hotel.
This position leads Atrium's Embassy Suites and supports Homewood Suites in Greensboro North Carolina. The General Manager Homewood Suites is a direct report.
Work Performed:
The General Manager will be tasked with the following duties, responsibilities, and assignments:
Collaborating on development and execution of operational plans for the hotel, ensuring that revenue and guest satisfaction targets are achieved , f orecasting financial plans and preparing the annual hotel budget;
Leading associates to achieve Atrium’s service and satisfaction goals through positive guest experiences and social media presence ;
Empathizing and engaging with associates to continually improve hotel culture and embrace Atrium core values; respect, service, inclusion, teamwork and perseverance;
Manage direct reports by ensuring Associates understand employment practices, recommending employment decisions and corrective action, supporting performance management, and implementing discipline ;
Active involvement in the Sales and Revenue Management function based on Atrium standards. Supporting sales and revenue through outstanding guest service to each guest and group , including implementing and maintaining local and national sales/marketing programs; and
Any and all other work as required to complete the primary purpose of the position.
Qualifications:
Required Prior Experience:
2+ years experience as a Director, Operations, Assistant General Manager and/or General Manager.
Extensive rooms and/or F&B experience
Working knowledge of hotel operations, including marketing plans, security and safety programs, personnel and labor relations, preparation of business plans, repairs, maintenance, budget forecasting, quality assurance programs, hospitality law, and long-range planning
Preferred Education:
Bachelor’s degree in hotel management, business, or related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience
Required Technology:
Microsoft suite, cloud-based apps, standard hotel property management systems

Ability to navigate the property for up to four (4) hour intervals during a shift
