Long hours, learned about continuous improvement
I learned a lot about manufacturing and continuous improvement activities. CAT is definitely a 5S standard for the manufacturing industry.
I worked second shift, which turned out was not something I was happy with.

Good Place to Work
Despite recent challenges following the carve-out from Caterpiller, Neovia is still a good place to work. The leadership transition has been rocky at times, but we now have a solid team in place and new business opportunities are abundant. Provided the company secures a few solid "wins" in the coming months, the future is bright.

I loved working for Caterpillar and enjoyed the challenges that my jobs had given me.
I loved my jobs that I had at Caterpillar and the chance to advance throughout the years. I enjoyed working with the people that I worked with. Sometimes the jobs would bring a lot of stress due to deadlines that needed to be met for system releases, so there were sometimes needed overtime or working weekends to accomplish the release deadlines. Once the stressfulness was over and the system releases were implemented it was very rewarding knowing that I had helped with a smooth implementation of the new system at that facility. When Caterpillar laid off some of their employees, the way they did this was horrible, and the best way to describe it was 'the last 17 years that I had given to the company, simply did not matter or count'.

Fast-Paced Work Environment
Logistics company who's client in the distribution center is Harley-Davidson, everything from parts for motorcycles to clothing and apparel. Pickers use voice-pick for outbound orders and have high production rates that have to be met daily. Fair amount of turnover on employees who aren't able to meet the productions rates. Not a lot of availability for advancement. When Supervisor or Manager positions do become open, the person who is going to fill that position has already been hand-picked before the HR team goes through the motion of interviewing applicants. When I had applied for a Clerk role, I did the interview, but at the end, the HR Manager flat out told me that they had already picked the person to fill the role. Definitely frustrating to have my time wasted.

Great place to work and expand your knowledge. Good people, good environment a good way to experience a lot of things that u did not know bout. Great workers.

Terrible management
they only hire family and friends. pay is low for what you have to deal with between customers and work load. management is out of sync with their associates. HR is located in another state. Favoritism is high.

Not place to grow a career.
I had high hopes for Neovia. I hoped it would be the last Co. I would work for. After the sale to Goldman in February 2015, it started going downhill fast. No new business, and no hope. they cannot pay thier bills, and we as employees had to apologize to our vendors for non-payment! Unfortunately, I do not see any growth, but shrinkage in the Co. It badly needs a upper management makeover. Maybe after that happens, it will be the Company it should be, not before.
The communication is horrible, and the HR dept. is very inexperienced,and petty,so there is no leadership. very sad.

A very strong and striving work family!!
It is nice when you come to work and you're just motivated to take on the day. I have learned so much with Neovia Logistics as far as customer service to completely scheduling out all the freight going out. I am ready to take on challenges and strive to be in the big picture of a company.

Great place to work - travel opportunities, work life balance
Neovia was a nice place to work. I enjoyed the travel, the pay and the training courses the company put supervisors through. It was great to be with a company that cared about developing and mentoring their management.
