Productive and Great area to grow in fast paced working environemnts
good place to work. I had a real good experience and would love to go back if things don't work out for me in the future. There are chances of advancements. Management team is very respectful and will work with you to make the environment a comfortable working area.

Fun Place to work at with the right group.
I have worked at Napa for about 3 years and had some good and bad times.
As a Paint formulator, Delivery Driver, Customer Counter Service, Keyholder for building, Assistant Manager, whos worked at 2 Major Napa Buildings It really depends on the management and how you look at the workplace.
Its given me good vibes with the right people and the organization of the work place but management could also suck if they aren't supportive.
ProsJob security, Job promotions, flexible schedules
Consoverwhelming work, Management, stressful at times

Good Company to have great manager experience
Great management. Good work environment. Hard labor work as a Driver.
Cons: low pay for what you are doing.
Pros: Management always ready to help teach.

Poor management and lacked incentive.
Company only cares about their profit and nothing about the actual employees. You're pushed to make quotas on monthly sales items that no one wants w/o compensation or incentive. Their current system is garbage and is always having issues, but takes forever to get in touch with someone to resolve the issues. The culture was alright. Most of the people I had contact with at other stores were very friendly and could tell were hard workers. I never felt like I was given the opportunity to really use my skills, but was just a cog in a machine.
ProsStable
ConsNo incentive for sales, poor management, and lack of empathy from company

LOVED working in the GPC umbrella
NAPA and all of its divisions are great to work with, the expectations are set high but are manageable. As with all jobs, there are people you may not get along with but overall, a great place to work.

A job
Napa is a job, it is not a career. I loved the people that I worked with but the higher management is very greedy. Therefore the amount of raises are pretty much if you are ther for four years you will have two cost of living raises, even with a position upgrade.
ProsCheaper parts
ConsOver worked

Overworked
Overworked employees, short staffed, lots of overturn. Management does not care about customers or employees, no career advancement opportunities unless management

overwork
Definitely learned a lot at NAPA, crossed trained to different departments. Stocking, order pulling, will call are some of the jobs i did on top of my designated department(dockworker).

very busy work place, at times hard to catch your breath
fast paced, heavy on paperwork-reporting, communication almost all e-mail ...very corporate...not a family atmosphere...not very progressive...they never ever think outside the box...new ideas are always shut down...some ability to work from home and on the road--which is nice...work a flex schedule
