Operations Supervisor | Seattle, WA | May 24, 2020
Split shifts are tough.
Split shifts are tough. High deductible health benefits. Experience, qualifications, education and dependability are not appreciated. Advancement is for unqualified friends with no experience and or no CDL class B license with passenger endorsement. Many dependable employees leave due to inconsistencies and unfairness. It could be great if it was conducted professionally and fairly, it has the potential.

Disappointed
MV Transportation did not respect their employees. They placed people in supervisor roles that had no work experience, education or professionalism. They did not treat customers properly.

Customer Service Representative | Roseville, CA | May 12, 2021
It was fun working there, everyone was a team player. Got training every other week.
At the company, I had the opportunity to learn and grow while building on my foundation of skills and experiences. I applied my strength of problems recognition and executed plans to solve them. The company motivated me by making me being part of of the organization, and recognized my accomplishment.

Fast paced and productive environment.
A typical day at work would be dealing with overflowed callers in an understaffed callcenter. I learned great customer services communication skills. Co-workers were a great influence and help with some of the difficult situations at work. The hardest part of the job was always maintaining a professional approach to all challenges, when they were most difficult. Most enjoyable part of the job would be on pay-day, to remind me why i loved my job.

Mv Transportation Job Review
The will not hire full time. They run a forceful schedule change every 6 months by seniority. They are very elitist. Management does not comply with what they enforce. They do not take you seriously although they demand full time job responsibilities.
ProsThey are easy going on the cubicle
ConsThey will not hire fulltime

Training New Hires how to operate vehicles safely
A typical day requires me to teach new employees osha and company guidelines. Also, I train them how to drive buses the way the company want it done. I file, fax, make copies and data entry. I've I've learned that being a trained requires you to be patient not every student learns at the same pace. The most enjoyable part of the job was teaching people the proper way to do the job.

Management is politics
Life-balance will never be achieved because the company goals will always be met before the employees request. But work will always be work, there is nothing anyone can do, but accept it.
ProsCompany lunches
ConsManagement politics

Route Driver | Georgetown, DE | Jan 11, 2020
A lowly cog in their machine
There was an obvious racial bias in the management staff in preferential treatment towards members of their own vs those who weren't, regarding the drivers. Corporate directives were totally unrealistic & plainly in opposition to established laws & regulations that CDL drivers were & are required to follow. Vehicle conditions were very poor, & I was required to continue driving them, even with such things like steering, brake, & exhaust leaks into the interior of the vehicles which were duly documented. I earned 2 weeks of vacation pay & they refused to pay that when I finally left. 4 times I had to call the police onto the bus, 2 of which, I had to attend court proceedings, & 1 of them involved my being physically assaulted by a passenger. Management staff actively opposed trying to form a union. 1 of the management staff even directed me to regularly falsify written documents as a matter of course. For MV Transportation, it's all about maintaining appearances & paying "lip service" to the rules, for the sake of management staff & corporate returns. Shifts were >10-11 hours long with no meal or bathroom breaks.

What would you suggest MV Transportation management do to prevent others from leaving?
Asked Mar 20, 2017
All management/Supervisers, Schedulers, Dispatch, payroll all need to be fired, They don’t care about your well-being I’ll be glad when that karma hits hard 😌🙌🏾
Answered Jan 3, 2021
General Managers as well as any decent human being working for MV,needs to know and understand “LIFE” because a person is a certain race or ethnicity doesn’t mean another person of another race can speak to them in a manner they wouldn’t want to be spoken to! You treat people the way you want to be treated.. Racism is still at an ALL TIME HIGH, definitely within MV.
