Hard worker, willing to learn, worked in fast-paced
Keep busy most of the day, helped others...A positive workplace culture improves teamwork, raises the morale, increases productivity and efficiency. Usually, inform I tend to complete the most important work first., collaboratively plan my day, and make sure that the most urgent work gets done first“...

The company closes for major holidays.
I feel the company could do more for their employees but overall it has been an ok experience working at Mr Cooper. The company has a tendency of making employees feel like they can advance in their career, then put them back in their original positions. The company overall can be a great place to work as long as they take care of their employees.

Work
Some positions allow you to work from home. Also if you are not in a department that you enjoy then coming to work can be a pain. Unless you are in management payment is not competitive.

Call Center
Compensation is fair for a call center and I have been getting a bonus every month while I was there after the private label project began. The incentive was nice. The health plan was average. People are overall nice. Managers try their best to be helpful.

Beware
Management is horrible. You get more credit playing ping pong and decorating the birthday board than the work you accomplish. Different rules apply for different people within same department.

Customer Service Specialist
I learned extensively about mortgages and how they work. A couple months later I became escrow certified. A typical day consists of a 9 hour shift and the customer service floor is broken into teams with a manager and a team lead. The hardest part of the job was dealing with stubborn customers, but the most enjoyable part was interacting and learning new concepts of mortgage with coworkers.

Good company to build vast experience of mortgage servicing
The company is good for building experience in the mortgage servicing industry. They like hiring recent graduates regardless of degree focus and offer ample opportunities for training in order to help with knowledge base which can be used in furthering your career ambitions.
ProsGreat at employee team building culture.
ConsManagment could be more involved and willing to assist in employees advancement.

What is the interview process like at Mr. Cooper?
Asked Jun 15, 2016
It was pretty intense. It was three people, they interviewed you asking questions about what you are comfortable with and how quickly can you read documents, gave you a faux complaint to solve. They left the room to let you finish for about 5-7 mins and came back to grill you again. It was like good cop bad cop because 2 interviewers were stone faced and the other was smiling.
