Work culture at Mindtree
I began my management with Mindtree within the Azure SQL Server Database space with the Microsoft Corp. I had fairly good support with other managers but had to learn most of the things on my own. I took on the challenge and I excelled

Stepping Stone
Willing to give college graduates an oppourtunity to pursue a career Software Engineering. However, after the training in India, the company was taken over by L&T. Due to this, management has been less than ideal.

We had a rough start but they came through for me
I was hired through strange series of events. But through all of it, Mindtree stood by my side. Until recently I would say they were one of the best employers of my career. However due to covid I have been furloughed and time will see how this turns out.
ProsGreat people, fun, internal pride in their work ethics
Consa little bad on communication since the furlough

High turn over rate
This company has the highest turn over rate of any company I have worked at. The average tenure is 6 months. Company does not provide real incentive for good people to stay. Company philosophy is to get the cheapest labor and bill them out at the max rate. Good candidates use them as a temp company until they find a better job elsewhere.
ProsIf you are average you are a rockstar here
ConsYou end up doing all of the work because you will the 20% that knows what is going on

Not good in long term stay
Getting salary hike here looks impossible. To start business and to get the position billed to client , company can pay anything to start but later salary hike is impossible here. Looks like few business men are running entire show and just thinking about their own profit.
--High possibility that your downstream guy is getting salary higher than you.
-- Biggest joke is $3-4 k annual hike for good performer.
-- Indirectly, company forcing many Indian employees to stay alone without their family else they can't save money for their future( all because of low salary).

New Hire, Very Satisfied
I have only been employed by Mindtree for a little over a month. But so far... Salary, benefits, expense reimbursement, and availability of continuing education are just some of the bright spots. Coming from Houston, Tx, it is very refreshing to work in an environment where everyone is excited about the possibility of making a difference.

Great work culture, slow career growth.
Mindtree is a good place if you want to work in a stress-free environment. Its good for employees who have family responsibilities. The company is very flexible in that way. However, it takes considerable luck to be put into the project of your choice. You won't learn much about technology in most projects here
