Positive Enviornment, Passionate Management - Good For First/Entry-Level Employment
The managers/owners have always been very passionate about everything: the company, their store, their employees (both professionally and personally), and the Guests. They're always encouraging growth and celebrating achievements in their team members, whether it be professional, academic, or personal. It's a great company for students entering the workforce for the first time, or for young adults looking for a second part-time job or a bit of income while they figure out what they really want to do. It really isn't ideal for long-term employment, but Team Members can be happy here for up to several years. Management works really hard to foster the same type of simley, upbeat, and encouraging enviornment for the team as they want for the Guests. At my location, at least, the Guests are generally friendly and understanding, even encouraging, at best, and manageable at worst. Keep in mind, however, that it is mostly a minimum wage entry-level customer service kind of job, and promoting to shift Leader with a slight raise of a dollar or so is the only advancement Avaliable without entering into any kind of office or administrative work with global headquarters--or owning one yourself.
ProsShift Yogurts up to a certain dollar amount every shift, positive management and team
ConsNo benefits, limited options for promotion, minimum wage level of pay

Fun and easy job
This job was very fun and low-key. Managers were laid-back and supportive if you do your job well and don't slack off. Included discounts on yogurt and fun promotions.

Fast paced and messy job
Menchie's is a place that requires a lot of work and usually doesn't result in the best compensation. Working for this company for almost a year, I and my coworkers were only given 25 cent raises which doesn't get you far. The manager and store owner aren't rude people, but they won't be your favorite. Productivity of your shift will depend on your coworkers.

Good Job for a Student
I started working here while I was still a student and needed something that was part-time to balance with studying. I have since graduated from college, but I still work here one day per week as I have been working more at my other job.
My only complaint is that the pay is low. I started at minimum wage, which was $8.05 per hour. I got promoted to shift lead, and my pay increased to $9.00 per hour. A new owner took over the location that I worked at, and I received another raise to $9.25 per hour. However, I am very aware that this is as high as my pay will ever be here.
Besides that, I would still say this is good for a part-time job. You might be able to work your way up from being a team member to shift lead, if you work hard.

This place is great to work at if you're a student
This job is very easy, often a lot of downtime especially during the colder months. Cleaning the machines is the most difficult/time consuming part of the job but as long as you know what you're doing all is well. This job is a mix of customer service and basic food prep. Mixing yogurt flavours and preparing toppings in the back, occasionally making birthday cakes or decorating waffle bowls. Usually (especially during the colder weather) you work alone or with 1 other person. Highly recommend as a part time job for a student or a full time job for someone with a dual income household.
