Overall Reviews at McLane Company
4.0
A Christian company that will continue to grow.
I thought McLane was a wonderful company that taught me a lot about large trucks. I learned a great deal. I enjoyed the routing of the trucks in varies states and finally being able to use my Spatial Geography knowledge. As a Transportation Operations Manager, I disliked my schedule, but enjoyed the culture and experience I gained through working with outstanding professionals.

Fun productive place to work
Very fast paced, but fun family oriented atmosphere. I enjoyed working with my peers and supervising drivers and office staff. The customers were great to work with and the manager above me was a joy to work with.

it is a job when you need one
The work environment is not conducive to harmony because perception is the reality so if someone perceives you to do something and they report you first, you get written up for the perception. Not an incident but one persons perception and it stays in your personnel file forever, which you are not allowed to see.
It is very difficult to keep a job here but if you can there are great benefits. I loved my actual job. I did a variety of things all day and had my own office and set my own pace.
Prosfree coffee and soda, foosball, popcorn machine, big screen tv with cable channels
ConsThe people are difficult to work, they are not very accepting of people unlike themselves or with disablilities, this wants another con before it will let me go on, so here is nothing the cons are yours to see if you work there.

Very Good Company Sold to Mclane
It is a great company and If I had not been laid off after the sale of the company I would have retired at MBM.
MBM was privately held and sold to a publicly traded company.
