Great Place to build a future!
A great place to roll up your sleeves and enjoy making quality parts for top automotive manufacturing companies. A place where Safety, Quality, Productivity, and Human Development are the primary building blocks of our core business where our strength is in our people! Family oriented with work life balance initiatives in mind such as four day work weeks. Great benefits with 401K and company match. Paid vacations with paid holidays! An on-site fitness facility open and available to all employees 24/7 as part of the encouragement for being healthy. An open market concept with fresh choices for food during breaks. Training and development allowing for upward mobility and a positive open communication path between workforce and management to solve problem issues together as a team concept. A great recognition program that show-cases individuals and teams for achieving and surpassing targets! Great location, Just off the I-64 corridor only 15 minutes from Downtown Louisville, KY. The hourly production workers are represented by the UAW - Local 2383. Martinrea is a great place to have a stable solid career making top quality parts that showcase the talent of our people with pride in their work!

The most enjoyable part of the job is to have a successful vehicle launch. The worst part is to fail a vehicle crash test.
No comment. I have signed non-disclosure documents prohibiting me from discussing subject matter concerning my assigned projects.

Great company to work for
Martinrea offers a bunch of benefits and great pay. Family events with prize giveaways. Easy but constant work makes the day go by quick. Youbwork with steel but they have a great safety rating.

Martinrea Review
In a manufacturing environment, like Martinrea every day is different for employees in the IT department. Projects and tasks could come from the production floor, office personnel or from corporate. The IT role at Martinrea can be very challenging, but also rewarding at the same time.

Hate this job and the people who own it and run it. Very sexist and crude. Too many long hours and too many weekends. Not a good place for a lady to work.

Fun workplace, Allows you to advance with what you would like in a career.
I have worked at martinrea for almost 10 years doing first shift and the job allows you to learn and progressed so far and so fast in the automation field. The co-workers are very friendly and if ever needed help with anything anyone would be their. I worked 60-70 hrs a week and loved it, the most enjoyable part of the job would have to be able to help anyone out when needed and too be able to learn and expand my knowledge further to where i am now.
ProsVery Knowladgeable
ConsAlot of favoritism, Max out after set rate.

An okay job, not a good career.
I should start by saying that Martinrea is still a growing company, despite having a global presence. They have recently been picking up a lot of contracts through the big car companies, a bit more than they can handle. Poor communication followed by unqualified management hinders production and creates an unpleasant turnover rate on new hires. They are unwilling to spend money where it is needed and instead blow it on major, albeit useless, renovations. This company is great if you are just entering the work force or need a job bad. You will get plenty of OT and their benefits are okay. To me this is by no means a career as there is little to no chance for promotion. If you need a job, go here, if you're looking for opportunity you are best suited elsewhere.
ProsOvertime, Paid Vacation/Personal Time
ConsPoor communication, Poor management

ProsGastos Medicos Mayores, y Bonos
ConsLa comida del comedor no era de lo mas rico

Fast paced Exciting environment
A typical day started with a meeting between all departments, Followed by attendance and ensuring all personnel started the shift on time. Correcting any issues that arise on a day to day basis and planning for future projects. Management was supportive however sometimes to secretive. Co Workers were an exceptional group of people. The most enjoyable part of the job was dealing with the issues that arose on a daily basis as this was a challenge and exciting

Questions And Answers about Martinrea International

If you were in charge, what would you do to make Martinrea International a better place to work?
Asked Dec 20, 2016
Fire HR Manager and Asst Manager immediately! They breed nothing but contempt and are racist!
Answered Jun 12, 2020
Put better people in place to keep the company running more smoothly.

Why did you leave your job at Martinrea International?
Asked Mar 16, 2017
I left Martinrea due to the poor management and their rude, obnoxious behaviors towards the line operators. HR is also terrible. One example, the HR person asked an older coworker if she was doing ok. The worker said "yeah, it's just a little warm in here today." The response, "Well, we can turn the A/C off for 2 or 3 days and then see how you feel." Totally uncalled for. Then they send people home due to lack of work, yet those that stay are forced to run 2 machines. The only way you get promoted is if you are a relative or friend of the higher ups or HR. And the passing of bad parts... Just to keep the scrap down, they decide to pass bad parts. Numerous times I demanded they write on the paperwork that they passed it, not me. Just to cover myself in case later it came back to me. I used to love this job, but it's just a joke now.

Management and HR staff are horrible. It's all about who you know or blow in that place. Rudest supervisors I have ever worked with. I wouldn't go back to this place no matter what they offered me!

I was taken back to hiring managers office and was comfortably asked few questions and was assured of rewards.

What advice would you give the CEO of Martinrea International about how to improve it?
Asked Jan 8, 2017
Management, HR and supervisors are terrible. They are the rudest people and will blackmail you in a heartbeat. Then they put on a fake act any time someone from corporate visits. And you dont move up in the company unless you are "in good" with them.
Answered Apr 14, 2019
I would listen to the little people. We work with your supervisor everyday. The third shift supervisors are horrible. If you aren't you and pretty you don't have a chance. Knowing your job and making production wasn't enough.
Answered Feb 27, 2018
What would you suggest Martinrea International management do to prevent others from leaving?
Asked Mar 16, 2017
Don't get rid of good workers.
Answered Oct 30, 2017
Clean the place up and hire truly qualified supervisors and managers instead of the buddy system.
