Not a bad job to have if you dont want to work in reg retail
My DM held me back because i ran the district. I was training to become a DM, then i found out that she was holding me back so i can do her work for her. She no longer works there so your safe now.
A good entry level sales job for people interested in sales. Work is relatively easy but pay is very low for the inudstry.

GENERAL REVIEW:
Worked here for nearly 2 years as both a sales representative and a sales lead for their Target Mobile program, was successful in both roles and my store was often top 100 in the company. If you're a phone sales representative you'll find yourself with a fairly easy job working out of a Target location. Your ONLY responsibilities will be selling phones and phone related accessories to customers which you'll get commission pay on and keeping stock of all higher end cell phones. You don't need to worry about general retail work like stocking, or worrying about other departments, making your day to day schedule relatively easy if it's slow, and exciting and better paying if you're able to crank out sales. The only downside to your responsibilities is that you are expected to grab video games/consoles, and other duties that are completely not related to your sales goals or numbers, which can be frustrating especially as you WILL miss some sales opportunities when doing that.
In short, if you're hungering for some sales experience this job is not at all a bad decision. I personally learned A LOT about sales and management from this job and it has helped launch a successful sales career for myself and opened doors to better jobs elsewhere. But the pay is low(Minim
ProsEasy work, good entry level sales experience, little to no oversight.
ConsOverworked and poorly organized management, low pay, and little to no support from District Managers even when you've got a good one.

Great place to work!!!!!
Productive, exiting place to work. As an employee you work under contract for a company. The only downside is that if the contract with the company ends or is terminated, there is a great chance that you will be out of work.
Company works with employee to relocate employee in a similar field of expertise.
ProsGreat place to work. Great perks with millage programs!. Management team is exelent.
ConsEmployee work as a contractor for recipient company, your work depends on the length of the contract of the company you are working for.
Marketsource is a mixed up company. They will promise you the world but not deliver their promises. There is no job security and no contracts. You will be fired if you do not reach their unrealistic goals even if you work extra. Some of the managers are nice. Some of them are racist bigots who will belittle you and berate you. The company claims to have an open communication policy but if you open your mouth you will be terminated. I found that this company is highly disorganized and they promise their clients and their employees anything to maximize their profits. They will overwork you. They are currently being sued for unfair treatment of their employees on the Honda Recall program. They made their employees work over 40 hours weekly with no overtime. They will make you use your personal vehicle to carry hazmat including dangerous Takata airbag cores and to canvass for customers with Company signage on your vehicle while using your own personal insurance. Be careful driving without commercial insurance; in an accident you could be sued and lose all your profits. Overall the pay is decent but you will earn it. Plus you better save $ because your job will not last.
The recall specialist jobs are okay but don’t plan on making a career out of Marketsource. They will just use you up and spit you out. Recently they fired their entire staff on the Toyota program a week before Christmas. Do not trust this company! They are disorganized, they do not listen to their employees and t
ProsDecent pay, 5 day work week, some ok benefits
ConsBully Bigot managers, long hours, no OT, no job security. Unreliable disconnected management

The work environment is great. It has a real team feel and everyone is there to help you learn. They try and take care of there workers. I have grown a lot working at MarketSource I am just looking for more.
Lack of direction given to any task at hand.
Client made unrealistic goals to meet
There is a lot of things at this company that needs to be addressed.
Most of which will be out of your hands.
It's a great entry-level company, they give you the right tools to be prepared in a corporate position.
Learned a lot through excel spreadsheet with different reports.
By myself all day no sales barley had any customers coming in standing all day with no job duties cleaning and waiting for customers to come in wasn't making commission and they required me to do a lot of traveling
Prospay was great
Constraveling and no customers

For starters, the unbelievable work stress that eventually will turn into an mental & emotional stress. Adding onto this, Low commission rates, high turn over rates, lack of real training, horrible management that shows favoritism and devalues you, no work or life balance, barely any room for advancement and no real benefits.

Truthfully, it’s not that hard to get hired and go through the interview / paper work process. Just be confident, learn how recent technology and its information. Show interest in “wanting” to grow with Marketsource. In result, the high turn over rates allows the open job availability to all. They will hire you without hesitation.

Do you make your own hours?
Asked May 15, 2017
No, very inconsistent scheduling they choose for you.
Answered Jun 14, 2021
No they department manager writes of his own schedule. Picks the days that he wants to work and time .. then he gives out the rest of the hours to other people in department. If you're the lowest man on the totem Pole you get a few hours to none. That's why I have a second job.
