busy fun goal oriented and competitave
best job for teenagers. decent pay for people without dependents fast pace environment not enough pay this is a good place for a teenager to work. many are located in a mall. very informative on issues dealing with skin and hair, and what natural products can fix skin ailments.
From having my first job when I was 16 to working and growing throughout my college career, Lush Cosmetics help me gain experience in my related field and was a great first step.
Overall I have had a lovely two years with LUSH, it is a great company with great products. LUSH is known for their strong ethics and their ability to bring about change. I would come back to work at LUSH again and would reccomend it to any of my friends.
ProsCompany morals and ethics, products that help the environment and society.
ConsNot a lot of pay compensation and health benefits even for full-time managers
Lush is a great company to work for if you have the opportunity. They are progressive and forward-thinking, always prioritizing their values over senselessly making money. Most importantly, they will develop you and teach your valuable skills you can apply to jobs for years to come.
A really great atmosphere to work in. The trainers work hard to make sure that as an individual you are developed on a daily basis, and they strive to see improvement. There is a lot of upward mobility if you can work hard on your development. I loved getting to work for a company that shared a lot of my strong ethical convictions about the environment and humans rights.
It was a beautiful experience. I learned so much while working here and my co-workers were awesome. Management at the time I was there was very understanding and gave a good work/life balance.
An ethical company that has tons of room for growth
LUSH is a great company to work for with room for advancing your career. The work is challenging, but also very rewarding to be able to know that your hard work is for a company that gives back ethically.
Wow! What can I say about Lush? I still enjoy the products, and the company as a whole is not horrible, but the location that I worked at was even known for being a "trouble store." it has been open for 3 years and has had as many managers in that amount of time. They each seemed to have their own rules and not all of them are supported by the company. I have been told by one manager that doctor's notes mean everything if you are sick while being told by the most recent "doctor's notes don't mean s***." The company itself is neat, the products are creative and useful, and the ethics are phenomenal.
Will probably always be my favorite job. A very fun, understanding, and accepting community where you can make some nice friends. I don't have to go to work, I get to go to work.
Not your typical retail position, the atmosphere is so engaging. I loved learning about ingredients and ethical campaigns. The ethics behind the company were ones of my favorite things. The most challenging is having to adapt to the sales style, but it was much more enjoyable than any other retail environment that I ever worked. I had the opportunity to take on specialty roles which helped shape my career. At the end of the day it might not be a forever job, but I'm thankful for everything I learned there.
LUSH Cosmetics can be a great and not so great place to work for.
I've worked Lush for 3 years now.
I started off as a Seasonal Production assistant for 4 months ( Like most people do with in their hiring system) in The Bathbombs warehouse.
A month later after the seasonal employees were laid off,
I got called back to join in The Dairy pots room and have there since.
The management can be very laid back but at times can often lack structure and proper feedback for their employees within the warehouse.
The most enjoyable part of lush is being able to be totally be yourself which can strive you to be a better person to yourself and to others co-workers.
I have met some awesome people at Lush and have ended up in making great friendships in the process.
Lush's culture does not shy away from being a very socialist and involved company in all sorts of politics which can be educating and inspiring with the ongoing charity based seminars & events they hold but can also be contradicting in someways.
A usual day for me in the shipping department for me would be me placing boxed finished goods in A larger boxed shell on top of a pallet to be sent off to their distribution center, documenting the product type name, size, destination through using Microsoft Dynamics DAX program.
Other duties include emails to & from distro asking for materials and such, checking in with each other making sure there are little as to none discrepancies with finished goods on a daily bases
The shipping area of things can get quite demanding and challe
I really enjoyed working at Lush because the environment is pleasant and safe, the leaders are great, the work is not difficult, the products are of high quality and the people are fun.

fun place productive good management always hit out targets.
I enjoy working here at lush it a great places to work very fun place to work especially when we made the products like the soaps, scrubs. The people are awesome very friendly.
A typical day at work would require setting up my station/table depending on which product I would be making and reaching daily targets which requires making a certain amount or number of what they need. Different products have different targets and some are made in teams and others are not. What I've learnt are the basic safety needs and precautions including the Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System. The management is really well because they always keep the staffs updated such as daily huddles, progress and making sure of their safety and comfort. My co-workers were a big part of job because I got to work and cooperate while improving individually to learn and work well with others. Everyone is on the same floor which involves us all motivating each other and at the end of the day we are all a team. The hardest part of the job was meeting daily targets which contains consistency and a fast pace work environment. The most enjoyable part of the job was getting to make different products which made the workplace a lot more productive and fun.
great career progression
open minded environment
love hairdressing and I was apple to gain more skills in hair

Représentante de vente Great for seasonal work | Montréal, QC | Jun 5, 2019
Great benefits, not enough hours.
Team is knowledgeable and fun to work with. We are constantly learning new things and are paid for learning even when not on the floor. Only problem is most don't get enough hours as they only want part timers because having full timers mean paid benefits such as medical and dental, as well as paid vacation. Also, even thought we aren't on commission, we have to push sale on customers who clearly want to be left alone to think about what they want.
Pros50% off store products
ConsFollowing customers and being pushy
Questions And Answers about Lush Cosmetics
If you were in charge, what would you do to make Lush Cosmetics a better place to work?
Asked Nov 1, 2016
Definitely not micro manage my employees, be nit picky. Everyone has their own work style and you cant expect them to be perfect like you. Also, provide better training even to seasonal staff and don't expect your employees to be always at 100% and be passive aggressive when they're not. It's a draining job, give them some space.Adhere to availability and don't promise them you can then the schedule says other wise.

What is the interview process like at Lush Cosmetics?
Asked Aug 2, 2016
Applied online and got scheduled for a phone interview w/ the store manager. A few days later I got an invite for a culture experience at the store. It’s a nice get to know you , vibe and role play scenarios. Be yourself, listen and generally be excited to be there. Started 4 days later.
Answered May 12, 2021
I applied online, got a call to schedule a phone interview. Passed the phone interview then went in and did an in-person interview. Pretty informal - done in the shop while customers were coming in. Asked a few questions but the big one was roleplaying a sale. Interviewer had me pick a favorite product and roleplay a sales associate coming up to her as a customer. She did an example first to show me the steps in the process but you should know some Lush products beforehand. Testing if you're a quick learner. Great experience. Got a call a few days later from Manager in Training with a job offer. NO DRUG TEST pretty easy.

How do you feel about going to work each day at Lush Cosmetics?
Asked Mar 16, 2018
I dread going to work at the Lush. I am a seasonal employee working in the gifts department and I have never seen grown women fight over ribbons before. It's pathetic, the pay sucks, and the job is so boring I have to think of things to do while at work or I will go insane. If you can tie your shoes you can do this job. The only thing keeping me going is that I have less than a week and a half left until my contact ends then I will never go back here again.
