Overall Reviews at Lucky's Market

Outstanding leadership and support
Lucky's has been one of the most enjoyable places to work that i have ever seen. Every level of management provides you with the support and training that one can need or want, not to mention the solid community outreach and involvement that the company strives for. It is truly heart breaking that the company has gone into bankruptcy.

It was a fun Place to work
Working for Lucky's Market was an awesome opportunity. I opened up 2 store in my time at Lucky's and I do not regret any minute of it. I have met some amazing people through Luckys.

Productive and fun place to work
I enjoyed working for Luckys...there was room to grow as an employee and was always a pretty fun and lively place to be. I am sad that Luckys is closing nationwide.

Great company
Great, fun, fast paced work environment. Great leadership. You definitely get a good feeling of achievement every day. The best part is every day is different.

Basic Employment
Management was the downfall at Lucky's, the Crew was awesome and very in touch with the balance of work and fun. A typical day started at 4:50 A.M. unlocking the Receiving Bay doors and disabling the alarm. Sweeping and snow shoveling, clearing trash and clutter to prepare for the daily influx of deliveries. Over twenty trucks a day rolled into the poorly planned Loading Dock, blocking customer traffic and venting fumes into the Receiving Bay. Driving the forklift and manually inspecting every box and every item to ensure accuracy of delivery, working in the rain, snow or sun with no protection, hoping for mild weather, working through the cold.
ProsFree Lunch
ConsManagement slow to respond to employee needs

Looks good from the outside.. But nasty on the inside..
I thought this company was good,
because of how they word things to get you in. Then you become an over exhausted(people quitting), no apperication, told things and promise yet never delivers, and hinds a lot , even when you ask. And NEVER TOUCH ANYTHING UNLESS YOU ASK.

One of my best jobs
I loved working for Lucky's. This is one of the few jobs that valued me for what I brought to the table, not how many of those tables I could flip in an hour; as was the previous case in so many other positions I had held. Really daunting to think that after the store closed, I may have to start at the bottom again. Lucky's believed in me and gave me the opportunities to grow in ways many other businesses wouldn't.

lack of training, new company with a major investor who ruined the atmosphere,
The management had different ideas from day to day on what needed to be done. The clientele and atmosphere were wonderful to work with. I started off as a part timer and worked my way up to Bakery Manager.
Pros20 percent discount, great deals on produce
ConsAs a bakery manager you and one other person worked to perfect the expectations that were set.
