They will use you and spit you out. You risk your life and make THEM A LOT of money.
They do not care about your health. You will pay hundreds of dollars a paycheck for insurance that you can't use without paying additional hundreds of dollars. They will work you to death. Which I do not mind. But for them to pick your work apart and try to write you up for everything while you are working 12-16 hour days putting your life on the line, it is just too far. They offer no educational advancement. I have tried to initiate that for over 3 years now. They offer almost no upward mobility and the promotions they do offer almost always come with the same or less pay. They constantly make mistakes with their money packages and route organization and then blame anyone but themselves for any loss of service. They fire the best employees to make examples of them and ignore repeated obvious policy infringements for people who they obviously prefer. They take horrible care of their equipment and you will risk your life just to be in their trucks. I was a corporate traveler for over 2 years working ungodly hours in the most dangerous destinations in this country. I saved them millions of dollars in contracts at branches that would have lost business. They build up their company and opportunities in such a way that makes you believe something great can happen with them. And then after spending more than double the time as a fulltime traveler than you were told you would have to, they stick you right back at starting wages instead of the corporate/management roles they promise
ProsA lot of hours
ConsWorst corporate management of all time, terrible local management, horrible healthcare, horrible retirement, low pay with no raises, all promotions come with little or no raise in income.

Management sucks, in the department I worked at,they knew very little about the job
The management in my department sucked, the employees knew more than they did. Pay was horrible, long hours and low morale, but it was a job... You give your all, and your treated worse than a murder, the management I worked with when I first started was 100 % better, when this group took over, it was horrible. Your opinion doesnt matter, you voice a concern, they dont believe you. High turn over low pay, unless you work EXTRA overtime (15 hrs extra) . Trust me STAY AWAY!!
Worked as a contractor for company in Los Angeles, Ca.
Worked for company moving gold from all clients in LA area in Gold District. Good Pay 17.00 an hour from my company i worked with.
On call for this detail. Managers on site were good. Employees were ok. No problems with anyone there. Like the extra money.
ProsGive water and sports drinks. These extra hours helped me.
A typical day as a driver/custodian is very busy, very punctual, and sometimes stressful.
I learned how to very mindful of my surroundings and that punctuality is necessary in the armored car business.
Management is very task oriented and communicates well with the employees.
Your co workers are your most trusted ally. For the most part most are very reliable and very dependable.
The hardest part of the job may be heavy lifting. Some days you are required to load and unload over 100 heavy boxes of coin.
The most enjoyable part of the job is the consistency of your hours. Most employees will receive about 10+ hours of overtime per week.
Prossometime your stops will give you free coffee or lunch.
Consthere is always a present danger when handleing large amounts of cash.
I was excited to start working for an international company, but after a year or so realized this is not a good fit for me. The training is non existent, they work you so many hours that you have no life outside of work.

Over all a good place to work
The Loomis Company was a good place to work. There was a lot of drama within the supervisors/ management which made it hard to work sometimes. The pay was average. I do believe the compensation should have been a little bit higher for all the extra work put in. The environment was overall good. Friendly co workers for the most part. I would recommend this job for someone who enjoys working in a fast paced environment.
A typical work shift entailed chasing down and fixing any problems from the day. This often required significant investigation of daily deposits and cash processing. As the people responsible for the final balance, the "night crew" had to be familiar with all aspects of the cash deposit and delivery process. Unfortunately, this often meant late nights and overtime. Overall, however, everyday was a new adventure full of opportunities to learn.
Not worth the risk of getting rob everyday and looking over your shoulder. Plus they do not value you as a person that has to make it back home to their family.
Worked for the company for 22 years and I was just thrown away there is no loyalty on area management side. The Regional manger doesn't care if there is not enough staff to do the job. Makes people redundant, then a month later advise that job through an agency. doing between 200- 300 miles per day. Work 14 hours per day and if the work not completed then questions will be asked, they might send you back out or start you 4am.
ProsNone
ConsLong hours, under stess the whole time, no praise, constant pressure, wages poor
pracovní den je sice různorodý, ale slibované služby a jejich délka je málokdy dodržováno. o férovém platu si můžete nechat jen zdát.
Proszlepšení fyzičky
Conszhoršení zdravotního stavu, finance

If you were in charge, what would you do to make Loomis a better place to work?
Asked Mar 19, 2019
I would eliminate ALL FORMS OF MANAGEMENT!!! Start fresh with people who are more qualified! A branch manager from OKLAHOMA who was in the top 3 couldn’t even run the branch in Kansas City!! They need to LITERALLY start over!!

Allow piercings and tattoos. That stuff does NOT effect how the job gets done.

Being a manager very flexible.

You typically have a set start time, but you could work several 10 to 14 hour days per week. Do not plan on having a social life, let alone a family life.

Asked Mar 8, 2017
They do NOT have a super crazy physical. Whoever made that comment is a idiot. The physical is only making sure you can bend and breathe and see right! And a drug test.. you take that the same time you do physical.
