They treat everyone like family
This company has been good to me from the very beginning. I am in school for nursing and they know that is my goal, so they work around my busy schedule. They make sure I am getting enough shifts to pay my bills, but not to many shifts where it stops me from my school work. I am grateful that I can work for this company.

Great company to work for overall
I like the sense of family (dysfunction and all) that comes with working there. Great place to make money if you are good at your job. It was definitely my favorite restaurant to work for, very high standards for cleanliness and quality compared to other places I have worked for. Under the right management there are definitely opportunities for growth and advancement.
ProsDecent benefits, flexible schedule, good money, good teamwork
ConsCertain managers can make or break the work environment, favoritism can make or break your earning potential

Pay is bad and you aren't compensated for you progression.
No paid vacation or holidays. Only days off are thanksgiving and Christmas. No compensation based on your performance or progression. Pay is below average.

Hard work
Long hours, under paid for amount of work expectations. Previous boss was never in the building. Guess it was just bad placement. Bonuses were great, vacation pay and 401k was also and added plus. Still bitter about previous boss.

Great place to work was just hard to advance
The job was not that hard to do. Management was there to help you out when available. Co-workers were great and fun to work with. Overall a great company, just wish it was a bit easier to move up in the company.

I love Longhorn
I love serving and the fast based environment. Longhorn has a culture unlike any in the restaurant business. It's more like a family. I even met my husband there. The best and worst part is there is always change but that is life. There are not enough words to describe my 8 years with this company. Except that I have loved working for Longhorn.
Prosflexible schedules, fast paced, great teamwork

Great Work Environment
Continual training is provided with this employer. The management team is well trained, and great with employee relations. With a fast paced environment, you learn to work quickly and accurately. The hardest part of the job is trying to get promoted from within. I'd go back to this employer in a heartbeat. I think the compensation for management is on the low end though.
