Loblaw is a wonderful place to work
Colleagues are friendly and willing to knowledge transfer if required. Occasional free gifts from supplier makes work live happier.
I would return to Loblaw if there is another contract for me.

Not a healthy work environment
My experience at Dominion was not a good one. The management was rude and unhelpful, they expected too much from young employees. They offered no help with scheduling around school and acted as if a part-time job at a grocery store was more important than receiving an education. The manager would make mistakes and blame them on the younger employees so he would not have to deal with the aftermath. Multiple occasions I had customers screaming at me to speak to the manager and he would never come when phoned and would hide away so he would not have to deal with them. The workers form clicks that is one thousand times worse than high school. The drama in the workplace is ridiculous and mainly comes from the older staff. Rumors are spread, fights are started, lies and said. I should not be scared to go to work in fear of being screamed at, especially not a part-time job.
Prosabsolutely nothing, they don't have any good benefits
ConsWorkers put you down, management makes you feel isolated

Productive Fun
This was my first job. It was a great place to start out. Got to learn a lot of new things, was able to help build my character, and give me confidence.

Avoid giving you fulltime hours
Would not schedule anyone except managers over 30hrs to prevent needing to pay for benefits.

Great place to work
Loblaw is a great places to work.
I worked there for 4 years and loved it.
I would totally recommend this company to anyone. It gets pretty stressful if you work at the warehouse tho
ProsGood pay and nice benefit
ConsCan get pretty busy and stressful sometimes

Poor Culture and Management
Poor place to work unless you find a good manager who will support you. Management in procurement will easily throw you under the bus and despite being in a senior role, treat you like a child.

productive, challenging workplace.
A productive, challenging workplace in which no two days are the same. It is fun to travel, but not to be away from home so much of the time. pay could be better.

Worst company in Canada
I would give the place a zero rating if it gave me the option. It is the worst place to work in Canada in my opinion. They treat their employees like bad. Not a good working environment. The union is garbage. It's one of the most unsafe work environments I have ever worked in. I wouldn't work for them if they paid me $40 an hour.

They make you think you are still valuable until you are not
Right up until the day I was laid off I was told how valuable I was to the company. Then I was laid off. No reason just laid off. They posted my replacement 2 days later at 20k less than what I was making.

productive and fun workplace
working 8 hours a day for 5 days with 1 hour lunch break and 2 15 minutes short break is very relaxing especially when its busy days. I learned a lot in this company, all managers are very helpful in many ways. The hardest part of my job is doing paper work especially when close to deadline. And lastly, my most enjoyable part of my job is when i gets paid for my hard working every 2 weeks.

Personal Shoppers (PC Express) - cool but stressful job ( every hour deadline), with tracking speed of work application. Shifts - in the time frame from 5 am till 9 pm.
After 6 mon got an employee card giving 10% discount for all in the store.

The higher ups terrible
Terrible manager, don't get a job here. You will hate it and be treated very unfairly. I had one manager that was nice, the rest where either fake to my face, lying to me and treaying there employees like they dont care.

A decent place to work.
The people and management are very friendly and supportive. For someone who is new in the market, Loblaw has provided to me the platform to branch out and master the skillsets required to thrive in this competitive job market.
