Wonderful Place to Work
This company really cares about their employees. They emphasize work life balance and do a lot of functions and events for moral. People matter here. The environment is very friendly and management does seem genuinely concerned that you are able to handle your workload.
ProsMonthly random events, Great year end party, wonderful benefits, RRSP sharing plan, large and generous lunch room with company provided snacks available, great coffee machines and cool water machine, ping pong table, Wii set up for lunches, enclosed private rooms for downtime when needed
ConsHeavy work loads

If you value your sanity read on
I have been working for centrepoint for 1 year and a half. I have never had a good experience with HR or finance and there has always been issues with my pay. At times being on the front line can feel like you seperate from the company. The hours are not flexible would not suit those with young children. I was not informed of sleep in shift when i took the position in my contract it states occasional when it is actually once a week. You can move up within the organisation if you like completing what seems like a 10,000 dissertation to evidence you deserve to, which is very time consuming. Very rarely do you get a timely response from head office. The staff turn over is ridiculously high across the organistion so a lot of the time your working is with locum/agency. The young people are amazing but the organisations policy and procedures are very outdated and they have not caught up with the demands of a work/socal life balance. Alot of the time you are duplicating work. Think of it as working a 2/3 person position by yourself, as your not only a support officer but a finance advisor, a cleaner, a cook, an errand person, admin person, supervisor, key worker, tourist guide, security guard, counsellor, lone worker, health and safey checker and a maintanence person. Its a great place to gain experience in the field then move onto greener pastures.
ProsProgession, rewarding, experience
ConsLong hours, no flexible shift patterns, sleep ins, complaints never seen through, no work/life balance, high turnover of staff, inconsistency in policy and procedures, not enough support and understanding for mental health

Off season snowdown
Sales don't sell as much for us to continue production. We finish ahead of time that sometimes we only work for 3 to 4 days. So, fewer teams complete the week.
Prosmust be attentive in the design of products

Landmark Group company is good to work for (people oriented) company, but the management is worst as specially HR & Operations. They believe in impressing their customer, people & shareholder also adapting to current changing market & consumer needs. Empowering people to strive & deliver. Integrity in everything they do.

Because of management changes company strategy is completely changed
Previously company strategy was pleasantful and focused on business and employees growth, current situation from last four years due to corporate management changes company strategy has been changed and planning only for cost savings, hence quality issue at product level. Also there is no job security for employees and pay cut as well. And part of it Happiness program, beat diabetes are only for formalities and for the sake of outside viewers.Top Management employees are doing politics and there is no recognise for truthful employees. As an final comment, in current scenario Landmark Group is not good place to work.
ProsNothing
ConsLong hours
