Overall Reviews at La Quinta Inns & Suites

Need more people to work and hire employees that like to come to work.
A typical day at La Quinta is moderate hard. You have so many positions that it is sometime hard to balance yourself. Need more supplies to work with.

high energy workplace
working at a hotel is very demanding. it requires alot of patience and understanding to deal with unhappy guest. hardest part of the job is finding emplyees to deal with the stressful work. i enjoy working with the public and making the guest stay as enjoyable as possible.

Bought out by Wyndham Hotels
Best job I have ever had working in the Risk Management department at the corporate Office in Irving Texas. Everybody was wonderful to work with and management and mentorship was Excellent. I was a contractor there for three years and then the department closed down when bought out by Wyndham. It move to another location and carrier.

The worst management
They make it seem like they want you but the boss is a kid who listens to someone who doesn't care about anyone who isn't going to be a benefit for her they don't make the work environment safe and comfortable they make you feel like you are bad at your job and treat you like your nothing

My 25 plus years in the industry have allowed my the knowledge to be successful
I have worked in California and Texas since graduating high school and enjoyed every moment. My days are always different even though I don't leave the same 4 walls

No stability
My property was sold out of nowhere. If I had not seen my property listed at corporate on a board for future sell I would have been left jobless. Entire management staff was let go.

Best job I've ever worked for
La Quinta is a great company that cares for their staff and customers, but there is very little opportunity to advance your career there. If it had not been for that, I would not have left.
ProsGreat company
ConsRare career advancements

Nice property.
Nice hotel to work at. Some of the rooms need to be updated. Complaints about the same rooms occur frequently. Customers are satisfied for the most part. Management needs improvement.

Good Place to Grow
Be ready to work at any time. Hotels never close. There is never a dull moment. The pay is fair for the amount of work you will do. Be prepared to work long shifts. Management is supportive and the company backs its employees. The only cons would be having to depend so heavily on other people.
