The Book Review at the New York Times is looking for a full-time fact-checker.
Job duties include:
Check factual assertions in nonfiction book reviews to determine veracity and correctness and all factual matter against finished books
Check factual assertions in several essays in the weekly Book Review
Conduct quick and accurate research to gather and verify facts in reviews
Eliminate errors; ensure fairness and accuracy; correct contradictions and omissions; correct spelling and grammar
Other duties as assigned
