I was posted as a Graduate Engineer Trainee in the equipment installation, operation & maintenance department and was promoted to the level of Senior Engineer over a span of two years.
It was fun to work and the construction sit. People were cordial and I liked the congenial environment to learn & work simultaneously.
My immediate boss was an interesting person, he was well experienced & polished guy who had a lot of experience of dealing with difficult situation. He masters the skills of crisis management, which is quite evident at the project site.
I happen to learn from him to manage different scenarios simultaneously.

Given below are my honest reviews on L&T Construction. This shall act as a tool for Outside people to know the real L&T.
The experience of different people may be different and mentioned reviews belong to my personal experience and are not given to hurt the sentiments of any person.
People might have listened to the news of World Bank barring L&T for betraying and submitting tampered fake documents as proof.
This has become an integral part of L&T all over India.
The real spirit of Brand L&T has been hurt by many of the selfish people who had been given higher responsibilities but they are actually not eligible for such positions. Their selfishness is so high that they loot the company by partnering with SCs/Vendors and when it comes to payment of those persons who had actually worked and performed at site these so called leaders take back foot. They even fool their Clients by submitting fake documents for increasing their Sales.
L&T used to be known for the fact that if any vendor has done any works for the company his payment will be released over time but now the selfish minded people have other mentalities. They don't pay those which seem to be weak vendors and cann't do anything anything except requesting for payments.
The working culture has been made dumb with no role of effective project management skills. L&T's Project Manager's think that they are the Kings and even terrorize people/vendors.

Outdated work environment with no work life balance
Not the right place for most B.Tech graduates as one will always feel undervalued and exploited. There is no sense of value to the employees, the organization is solely focused on delivering projects at the cost of employees' personal life and health (physical and mental).
There is a lot of biasness and politics from the mid-senior level onwards and people from a particular region are favored over others.
ProsAccomodation, transportation from sites to guest houses, basic amenities and cooks in guest houses
Cons70+ hours per week, no space for personal life and enjoyment, boss culture, poor HR system, slow growth in terms of salary
The few good things about working at L&T include: Job Security, Salary, Growth opportunities.
However, these things are overshadowed by poor work environment with not much scope to learn and the fact that you will be posted in very remote locations. Work hours range from min 12 hours to max 14 hours and even Sundays may not be spared.

Great place to work at if you are in India, since companies roots are established there. however, its not fun working with them outside the India. Limited staff, support structur
a large machine shop with 40 cnc machines, but management is not as good

_The hardest part is when I can't find the proper tool and have to make my own
_The most enjoyable part is when I finish a part that I thought I could never do it.
Site work is really stressful but a lot of there to learn.
Being at job rotaion is the way of learning.
Every type of work experience is obtaioned at site in different departments.

You have to be dedicated to engineering, you have to work a lot, more than 12 hrs a day. If you want to learn and grow, the company is very good for getting an experience.
The work environment was very dynamic i.e., the monthly targets were greatly influenced by limited resources available at the site. Yet I was good at accomplishing set targets a midst challenging and hectic work with typical 72-76 work hours a week.
ProsFreedom to take decision at work, support from seniors and project manager, fortnight parties
Work schedule and timing is long hours other than that L & T ECC is superb .For freshers and entry level professionals L & T will be excellent opportunity.
L&T Construction is India's largest construction company. Nice work experience. Good salary, Good job security, satisfaction with roles and responsibilities.
Advanced Hospital Blocks made me familiar in many areas.
Its a corporate company with many projects undergoing.
My part is in a hospital buildings (SSB & SOPD) central govt project.
Multi role like quantity surveyor, site co-ordination.
Made me familiar and experienced in heavy buildings.
