Some areas are great...others not so much
It is a totally different culture than someone would expect. Lots of pressure to have everything finished yesterday. Some areas have excellent management that wants to see you grow, other areas want to burn you out if you are good at what you do. The company has high expectations for performance. If you are looking for a great intern opportunity, this is a great place to start. The company has a desire to be more modern and attract younger people, but older management slows and stops thisProcesses are slow. It can take several months before you are hired.

They are letting people off now and firing a lot.
Plenty of hours but now no overtime. Don't go through SMX. If they are not paying $14 and up then you are not starting out as Kohler. Jobs especially 2nd shift are very hard on the body.

Great working enviroment with great people.
There are really no typical days at Kohler, everyday there is always something new to encounter. I've learned so much from adding and losing stock, to managing a team. Its a very fast pace place to work with never a dull moment. The management is like any other, where they try to help out when they can. However they are usually really busy and its hard to get ahold of sometimes. Hardest part of the job is trying to make sure you are pleasing the right people and getting the stuff done that needs to get done. Even with it being stressful at times you hardly think about it because of the great co-workers you have here.

Kohler is a large, diversified, privately held company that enables individuals the opportunity to grow
The typical work day is ever changing and the ability to respond appropriately is critical. Management must be cognizant of this and be ready to move quickly. Co-workers are generally good employees who work together and are receptive to team concepts. The hardest part of the job was responding to the ever changing situation daily. Much of the day consisted of employee realignment to meet the ever changing needs. The most enjoyable part of the job was opening new plants worldwide and being the primary trainer for the SAP Quality Module to the new users of those plants.

productive and fun place to work
I have gotten to know many people from all three shifts and different departments. I have learned many things on Kohlers computer system and from other employees. The hardest part of the job is keeping up and making sure that all of the orders are compkete and correct.

I wouldn't recommend it. Find a place who values your hard work, skill, and the many hours required of you. This place breads sick, twisted, immoral, cheating, lying, thieving people. They will be the only ones who win in a place like this. give your self credit for your accomplishments and find a better, more rewarding place to work.
