I loved Knotts
Knotts Berry Farm is a very fun place to work. You also get free admission to the park throughout the entire year except for Halloween Hunt. If you love working with people and can work at a fast pace, this is the place for you.

Seasonal
Seasonal-Based employment. Difficult to retain benefits with company. Flexible with scheduling. Micro-management style. Interaction with people from all over the world. Great people who work there.

Knotts Berry Farm Hotel
depending ion the season you will either be really busy or have nothing to do. I have learned so much about the hospitality industry, when I began i didn't know anything so I appreciate the company giving me a chance. Management is very helpful and very accommodating. They are easy to talk to and can help you with any problems whether its work related or part of your private life. Most of the co-workers are very kind and the only rough part is dealing with upset guest. Although no matter how bad your day is your co-workers and managers always try to cheer you up. Unfortunately I believe after working here for 2 years I believe it is time to start a new adventure and find something I can turn into a career.

Awfully Stressful
I was a sales associate outside the park. I was packed during summer and holidays and dead during the weekdays. Always either super stressful or incredibly boring. On top of that the worker policies are always changing but you are never informed of the changes. The management and communication is terrible, while many associates are either entirely neglectful of their job duties or incompetent.
ProsFree park admission and parking + 8 tickets for others a year
ConsEverything else

Fun Place
Lack of leader ship and unwilling to accommodate scheduling. Lack of structure and organizations. Staff was not set up to succeed. Service was great but when lead by great leaders.

Does Knotts show their employees basic respect?
Asked Mar 30, 2017
As long as everything goes thier way, sure. There is a lot of back stabbing going on with co workers. Everyone is fighting for hours. Unfortunately many employees have nothing to do but talk trash about each other and some supervisors join in with the gossip. Employees train new employees and they do not do a good job. So then when the new employee starts work on the next day they are lost on what to do. Supervisors depend on unqualified employees to manage new employees. When your hired you are seasonal. They work you only when they need you. You may only work one day a month even during the busy time. They hire many employees to make sure you only work under 20 hours a week. They do not want anyone getting part or full time. They do not want to give you any benefits at all. Even if you have worked there for many years. Forget it if you want a raise. If you do get a raise it will be maybe 10 or 15 cents. (Joke). Supervisors will not hesitate to yell at you if you accidentally make a mistake. It is all about making it look good for them only. Supervisors and the corporate care less about thier employees. Employees are the ones in public with the guest 80% of the time. Standing there for hours with short breaks and lunches. You will be spending half your time walking across the park to the break area to find yourself with only 5 minutes left to inhale your food. When you're not working that many hours you may be unaware of things that may have changed in the park and when you finally come to work and a guest ask you a question you will end up giving them the wrong answer. I have seen this all the time where the guest has the wrong info. Not only does this look bad to you, it makes the company look bad. Too many unqualified supervisors running the park. There is not much trust with the corporate. They may really like you one minute then the next minute you will regret ever working there. Sad!
