Fun workplace with flexible hours
For my position I unload and open product and put that product in its designated spot. I have learned an extreme sense of organization and time management skills. The hardest part of the job is I work alone a lot of the time but I can always ask for help from a co worker. The most enjoyable part is to see new product first before the customers and we get a discount at the store.

Good Company for Students
Good hours for a student who is pursuing their degree in college. They have flexable hours and will work with you if you have courses or need to study.

It’s alright
It’s a great first job I was a team member and then an assistant manager within 5 days it had great flexible times I could work. I got paid a dollar more than I was as a team member but still VERY little compared to how much hard work I did as an assistant manager
ProsGreat first job. Great work atmosphere
ConsYou don’t get paid for all that you do. You work hard and get paid less than a McDonald’s worker

Easy and fun place to work
Kirkland's is a fun place to work at because usually the team melds and Kirkland's finds ways to make things more fun and to have the team come together. So long as upper management does not throw you under the bus, the job is great.

Great company to work as a team and with autonomy. Grow your skills daily.
The hours are very flexible. As long as you're in by 10:00 and work you're full 8 hours, departments approve. I learned so much about ERP, gained new MS office skills, and was given the opportunity to be our department lead for a company wide initiative. The management is very friendly and are skilled at adapting their management style to different temperaments of employees. The culture is laid back. The dress code is "wear what you feel comfortable in." It's common to see sneakers, jeans, and a graphic T. They are very serious about ensuring that their employees have a well balanced work and personal life and are okay with employees working from home when needed. The hardest part of the job was often the most enjoyable. The company has recently gone all digital and with all the new software comes a lot of bugs. They can all be solved, but until they are, it can be a mess. Finding the problem, fixing it, and being recognized for your work (supervisor always gave me full credit to her superiors) is extremely gratifying.
ProsWork from home, 8 PTO days, Laid back work environment, Flexible management styles, Opportunities for advancement, Opportunities to try different departments
ConsFinance Dept: Slow in first of period, Very busy at end of period

Great company to retire from
The company is one where you begin to understand why people work there for a long time. It was a joy to work for Kirklands. I hope to have an opportunity to return there in the future.

So many beautiful things here
Such a wonderful atmosphere
From the owner of the company to the regional and district
managers were so friendly, never treated employees badly
never raised their voices. just a wonderful place to work.
The hardest part of the job was having to leave.
The most enjoyable part was the bonuses, and the manager
trainings and especiallly the christmas training. The owner
of the company would fly all managers to Tennesse for a huge
meeting where we would see personally the entire new line
they were going to bring in. Managers were put up in hotels
and bussed to hotel confrence rooms for intense meetings.
This was awesome because we could meet other managers
and learn from each other.
