Overall Reviews at Kindred at Home

Productive and busy place to work.
Enjoyed my time with Kindred. Would still be there if they hadn't gotten bought out and made cuts. This put me in a position to possibly relocate and no longer be remote. There were lots of unanswered questions, otherwise I would have stayed on board.

Productive, Great atmosphere
Good people with good hearts work at Kindred. Most enjoyable is dealing with all types of people. The HR part is fun because you meet these individuals for the very first time and grow to have amazing relationships with them. Everyone really wants to try to help each other succeed and it is a positive workplace. Keep in mind in this role you may have to help the Psc with scheduling.

we strive to provide top quality care to our patients while maintaining a fun, energizing work experience.
i have been with kindred cullman for 2 years now and i can't think of a better place to work. our office team is top notch and our clinicians work hard to provide the best care to all of our patients. we have a branch director who truly cares about all of our employees and our patients too. we have an open door policy so that you can speak to anyone in the office any time you need to. our field staff supervisors work cloesly with our field staff to ensure every patient is managed and seen in a timely manner. i worked in the field seeing patients for the first year with kindred and i absolutely loved it. it can be busy at times but with the power to control your schedule, you can make the days work for you. please consider joining our team! you won't regret it!
Prosflexible schedules, great benefits, wonderful staff
Consit can be busy at times but that is the nature of home health and health care in general

bottom line is financial-partially owned by HMO
I loved my job in the beginning however as time went on it became apparent employees and patients are NOT the priority. In the office I had excellent support from my manager. Soon it became apparent their focus was the almighty dollar. No defined orientation program, poor field staff support

The best people with whom anyone could work
I love hospice because of the privilege of working with people at a most critical point in their lives. I also love it because of the wonderful people drawn to work in hospice. These are the best human beings I have ever met, and their dedication is a testimony to the need of patients and family members at this most important time in life. They more than rise to the occasion. They create as quality an experience near and at the time of death (and after) as can be experienced.

Great company to work for with flexible schedules.
A typical day at work with Odyssey was very rewarding. the appreciation and gratitude I received from my patients were phenomenal. I would drive to several nursing facilities, and provide personal care to patients that was at the end of life journey. I learned how not to take life for granted. You never know when your time on earth may come to an end. The management team was very professional at all times. You could count on management to solve any issues that were at hand. I really enjoyed working with my co-workers they pitch in and helped out whenever necessary. The hardest part of my job was losing a patient to death. The most enjoyable part of my job was knowing at the end of the day i helped someone in need.
Prosmonthly meeting, employee appreciation, and patient to aide ratio
Consdriving long distance at times, pay rate

i have enjoyed working in this company for 15 years in Home health.
I began as the Rehab supervisor, working for Girling Home Health. The company was bought out by Harden Healthcare, then bought by Girling Health Care, then bought by Kindred Health Care. I have had many directors, many were good and patient-focused.

Busy company
wish the company would switch to a different EMR such as homecare homebase, the one the company uses now leaves to much room for error. Some things lack structure
Consnot enough nurses, the emr is not user friendly

Was a great place to work and enjoyed it everyday.
I was there for about 12-13 years and I loved it. Made a lot of long time friends there and really enjoyed going to work everyday. You will never have to worry about them doing anything illegal they are by the book when it comes to compliance. Very caring management and co-workers.
ProsGreat place, great staff and management, nice caring people, fun at work but we got the job fun so it wasn't bad at all.
