Culture
The culture has work to do to keep up with the age of the workforce and expectations of the younger workers. I don't feel comfortable stating any more than this.

Time sensitive, busy, changing direction frequently & demanding
Very busy demanding work, which could change in a matter of minutes. Scheduling of all trades for inspection for Kiewit, VA, USACE, subcontractors and 3rd party inspectors.
Worked as a team with building teams, government employees, as well as Kiewit employees.
Management teams were amazing in assisting in the direction a task should go when a change was to be made.
I enjoyed my job very much it was fast paced, i was constantly learning new aspects of my job as well as helping other departments and learning about those responsibilities also.
The hardest part of the the job was coordinating the different trades, government officials, building teams, and the Kiewit staff when scheduling an inspection.
ProsGreat benefits - Rewards employees by acknowledging the hard work that is done.

Many Free luncheons
Typical day was greeting incoming guest and staff. What I learned was prioritizing my work schedule for the day to better the company and my work ethics. The most enjoyable part of the job was meeting different people daily and working alongside some of my colleagues and learning from them.
The reason I am no longer there is the company down sized and laid a few employees off.

Awesome employer
Great company to work for. They provide plenty of training and support. Plenty of opportunity with Kiewit. The compensation package is above the industry standard.

Fun,Fast Paced Environmen
Because I do payroll and deal with a lot of the administrative function of the office, a typical day for me is very busy from the time i step foot in the segment until its time for me to go home.
I have been working with Kiewit for a little over 3 year and have learned most of how a business department for a construction company runs. I have learned a lot from the different bosses that I have had and everyone has been extremely helpful.
ProsTeam buildings are great and you always get Kiewit gear

Awesome company to work with
All I can say it was a great College for me. Kiewit made my career grow, with training and new opportunities. I which they had a better work/life balance. I learned everything from begining of a job to an end and close out, they gave me the opportunity and i would not regret it. he hardest part of the job is to stay close to family since they make you move everywhere they need you, and that was the main reason I had to leave. Other than that is a great company and a great company to do business. Management and Co-workers are very professional.
Prostraining, experience and opportunities
Conswork/life balance is very rare, a lot of mobilization.

good company
good company to work for if you do not mind being gone most of your life. Compensation is not great but they will provide plenty of training and experience to send you off to a higher paying company. a launching pad so to speak of a company.

Challenging yet Rewarding
The hours are long and the challenges seem to be never ending when assigned to a project. The reward of seeing your hardwork pay off keeps people going. The pay is good but you work for every penny. My first few years, I felt like a number but with more responsibility, managers started to notice and care about my career development and preferences. Great company if you would like to center your life around work.
