There is always work to do if you know what to do and what to look for. But only if you are a hard worker willing to put in the extra effort otherwise it hurts the whole store.Ie, tons of cleaning (dishes, ceilings, garbage cans, bathrooms, lobby, drive thru, outside of the building and lawn, walls, floors, tables, cooking utensils and fryers, and more) ,It is a very physically inclined work place environment in which you need to keep fit and active as you constantly need to keep your eyes open and moving around you. There are 50 pounds per box of food to carry around to various locations for example, and the garage bags are not light either. The piles of dishes are also not light. Over a hundred dishes for just night crew alone to clean and put up. As well as keeping intelligence, logic and your wits about you as you do have electronics, water, hot grease, metal fryers, and sharp dishes to look out for as well as many co workers and managers to move around in a kitchen space. There's prep food to make for the next day or to get thawing. There's constant hot food up to a certain time of the night to keep up with. At that certain time of almost closing there's a balance to be kept between keeping a smaller portion of food for customers to be able to sold and "waste". What we write down for the food we throw out, when we're closed while trying to get ready to shut down for the night. When I first got there it was a nice environment with somewhat good training, there are free meals and nice people my age who are mostly gone now which kind of sucks. I am required to have breaks after 4 hours but never received a break for most of my shifts, the management is fast talking constantly (literally) telling broken promises, pushy with very short tempers for the customers and staff. The training absolutely sucks after many people came in many people were just thrown into the fast paced environment with little help I try my best to help them. My co-workers are cool people. The customers are literally the only thing that keeps me going because some of them are funny and calm unlike the older staff and management, the pay sucks I was told $7.50/hr and I was ok because It’s my first job but it’s not worth the amount of stress and hours I put in, management is so lazy and constantly need tasks done when I’m already doing more than I am legally required with constant attitudes that i have never imagined (disgusting). People are constantly talking on their phone during work hours and leave the workload on me thinking that it’s normal and ok to do so, older staff are usually talking for 5-15 minutes and the minute the younger staff talk they tell us to “find something to do” it’s an unfair line between the younger and older people and it’s just purely disgusting and rude especially when you’re not allowing people who hardly talk to talk just so they can do your job. The first day was really busy so I was not able to learn very well. I met good people.
Yeah it is tough, but apply to your closest kfc with friends. Work together, and within eachother. It really is what you make it.

Shoutout to the cooks, thank you. I do not know everyone's job so... I have respect for everyone. To everyone at this location! I did not like it, but let me say why you should apply.
I am sorry to those I spoke to, I was taught to always leave a good impression. I leave quietly, for due to private reasons. I was told for my own well being to just not go back.
I take experience from the little time I was here.
First go to just work. 2nd do not think of it as work. A task to get right to keep the regulars happy. You have social and more silent managers.
Have the ones that are nice and ones you never expect to be manager. I thought everyone was like me an employee.
The thing is I am surrounded by managers. They want the employees to do the job and only 2 managers mostly help take orders and do them. With the 2 or 3 employees there. Everyone else works. Depending on how many managers. Some just act like the manager they are.
This is nothing bad, just this one place needs people 07011. I went there with a friend, yeah. If you can the one in the 07011 area. Go as a group come out as a group with friends.

A typical day at KFC for me is starting at 4pm on a week day and 10 am on a Saturday morning. I clock in and I set my things in our office. After that I put the headset on so I can start to pack orders for drive thru and front counter. Around 6 pm our rush hits and we are trying our best to get orders packed, out of the window and the customer on their way within 160 seconds. This can be very stressful when customers yell and scream at us as well as throw things at us when they are asked to please give us a minute to recuperate so we can give them the best service we can while dealing with multiple customers at once. Around 8:30 pm is when I start stocking the freezers while continuing to pack orders with my coworker(s). At about 9 pm is when I start mopping and cleaning up so we are ready to close at 10 pm. Right about 9:30 pm is when I start prepping food for the next day such as putting onions in containers so they will be ready for the next days use. At this time not very many people come in, so for us workers it is viewed as our down time and we can relax a little bit, converse with each other while working. This is my favorite time of the day because I enjoy talking with my coworkers as they give off good energy and always are positive. The day normally ends for all of us at 10:30 pm sometimes at 11 pm depending on how fast and efficiently we clean and prep for the next day. Management was okay for my store. I could tell she really tried hard to make sure that her store
Before management, a typical day consisted of working around a plethora of cultured people; ranging from new faces to our daily regular customers. Duties included stocking, cleaning, working the buffet, cash register, customer service and working alongside management to provide the highest customer service ratings for the day/quarter/ect...
Once I became a manager my daily duties became inventory management, team success throughout the day, role play in our active work environment, suggestive sales, up-sales (meaning attempts to produce higher income per customer in the act of suggesting items they may want after they've completed their order) data entry throughout the day, keeping close contact with the owners of the establishment in order to maintain status quo, and lastly keeping all machines running with thorough inspection throughout the day.
The most enjoyable part of the job for me was making sure each and every customer who either came through our doors or through our drive-thru walked out or drove away with a smile on their face & a guaranteed "we'll be back"
The hardest part of the job for me was working through some of the unorganization, as we were a franchise, there were many rules that were implemented with only minimal instruction on how to maintain and produce the desired outcomes for each new rule implemented.
I loved my co-workers as they made the long and tireless days more and more enjoyable with each time we were placed together for our daily duties,

On my first day working at KFC, I realized that I did not like the job in any way imaginable. The people I worked with were alright, most of them trying to keep their head above water as I was, however, as a cook, I was unable to speak to them very often as I usually spent my time in the back, making chicken.
Due to store policy, I was unable to listen to music with headphones on. This particular policy made for a dreary and dull job, filled with monotonous hand motions and a variety of burns from your hands to your elbows. Being unable to wear long sleeves was both a blessing for the heat resistance and a curse as you were unprotected from the 240-degree blazing heat of the oil, should it ever bubble up and pop at you.
The store manager was not bad. I enjoyed his near child-like enthusiasm for the job, made things a little better. He was a skilled manager and he appeared to relish performing his job.
The most enjoyable section of the job was going outside. Crammed in the stuffy, hot, miserable kitchen with the oil and smell of chicken seeping into your pores made it so much more rewarding when I was required to take boxes out to the recycle bin. I will never, as long as I live, forget the wonderful breath of fresh air I took every time as I felt the nice, cool wind blow through as the naturally warm sun hit my face. That was the greatest part of the job.
Naturally, we must look at the opposite side of the spectrum, what was the worst part? Standing there almost e
When I first started working at KFC it was a brand new restaurant so it was very busy and exciting. I enjoyed the hard work and the face to face customer interaction. A typical day at work including handling money using a cash register, taking orders, assisting customers. Also, as a part of the night shift I was required to work along side my employees as a team to prepare the restaurant for the morning shift, which included cleaning, stocking, etc. The hardest part of the job was probably being on my feet but it wasnt that bad considering that comes along with most any job. The management was very nice and welcoming at first until I soon saw alot of the devious things some of the managers/leaders did. I wont go into detail but ultimately this is what led me to resign from KFC. Overall, I really did enjoy this job and I wish still, that It would've worked there. I just didnt agree with some of the things that were going on there. The co-workers there were pretty much like a big family. Almost everyone got along, the employees made it fun to work there. The most enjoyable part of this job would've had to have been working with the customers, especially the elderly people that would come in. The regular customers that you get to know grow on you and you build friendships with them. My favorite customers were the regulars that knew me and would specifically want me to assist them because they knew I would always get there orders correct and to them as fast as possible. I always

A typical day at work for any employee would be maintaining the cleanliness of the restaurant. Customer service is the number one priority! Service with a smile and a nice light conversation with a customer is the best during the day.
What you learn quickly is to maintain accuracy with all orders but also fast service as well. It is fast food of course! Working in teams is essential and is needed during any lunch and dinner rushes. You also learn that sanitation is STRICTLY enforced, if you don't care, you do not need to be there.
Management is the best, they truly care about the employees and work with you in any way possible. You can definitely go straight to them about anything and everything will be resolved. They are kind hearted normal people but if by any means necessary they will be strict.
Co-workers will always be willing to help. They teach you the ropes in there, what to do and not what to do, they're like big brothers and sisters. Always looking out for one another and on their feet 24/7.
The hardest part of the job would have to be lunch and dinner rushes. Its hard in any type of food place, of course its normal to feel overwhelmed and a bit stressed out trying to get everyone out of that door in a quickly manner, but its better to be accurate than to rush. Always double check before giving that bag away!
The most enjoyable part of the job, is seeing happy customers. You have people coming in that haven't eaten in a certain period of time. So
You are asked to do way more work than you are compensated for and/or even able to do. I worked at a small store that only had 5-7 employees and was constantly having people quit due to the work overload. Work-Life balance is not a thing here if you are in a management position. As an Assistant Manager, you are required to work at least 50 hours a week, I was regularly working 60-75 hours a week, sometimes 80. I got pregnant while I was working here and ended up miscarrying (not due to work stress, though that didn't make my life any easier). While I was miscarrying I had to come into work on 4 different occasions to deal with the fact that a worker had quit and my Manager was consistently 2 hours late (even though she lived 5 minutes away from the store). It was during this time that it was made very apparent to me that the company cared more about the "success" of its stores rather than its management team or employees. I witnessed several amazing workers get pushed to their limits because they felt like they were not cared for by the company. For the year that I worked here, I barely saw my husband or friends and I wasn't allowed the time off to care for myself physically, mentally or emotionally. Yeah, I made a lot of money as an Assistant Manager but never had the time to enjoy the benefits of that. They do provide management classes and only promote from within.
Due to constant burn out from employees, there were times where I was left alone at the store to cook, take
The only thing I enjoyed about working at KFC was all the individuals that I had the chance to meet and become very good friends with. Even to this day whether or not they are still employed at KFC we still remain close friends. I began working at KFC when I was 16 years old starting at $8 hourly. While working there I was never formally trained. The only way I learned how to do things was to watch other employees and pick up what I saw as fast as I could. While working there I was constantly harassed sexually until the employees that did so decided to leave. It did not matter when I complained to management or human resources about the harassment because nothing was ever done about it. The first 2 years i worked there I never received a necessary break even if i worked overtime as a minor. By the time I turned 18 years old they had promoted me to shift leader without proper training once again. Even though I was not properly trained I still satisfied customers, treated all employees with respect and produced faster service times and higher profit numbers. I guess in the end it never mattered. The franchisees looked down on ethics and considered me following state laws regarding breaks for employees as a waste of time. I wish I understood that this company would never change its ways and had left sooner than I did. They do not see the individuals who work for them as important at all. To them employees are simply disposable at any time. The franchisees gladly take advantage o

I started working mid-through year 12 (which by the way was the worst decision clashing with my HSC, but I never really liked the schooling system anyway) and this was the only time my dad actually encouraged me to finally have a job. We were dealing with heavy financial issues and I wanted help increase the family income. I applied for the position of Customer Service Team Member and to describe the position, at first it was very overwhelming, like to an extent that I cried after my first real shift at my store. A customer didn’t realise that a trainee was in the area and she decided to blame the inconsistency of the staff’s speed on me. Before this happened, I was put to training at a different store in the CBD area and my store within the Eastern Suburbs area. Not too sure why, as I was told by my friend who was a former employee that I could have trained at my store. Turns out my general manager was just too lazy to train me let alone have the assistant managers training me. But working in the city was way worse compared to working at my store. And by worse I mean you can barely take a minute to breathe and rest. You are constantly needed to do this, do that, and stay with the customer.
But back to my store, the longer I work here, the more I get annoyed with my RGM. He clearly is a greedy, lazy snob. When the other managers open store, they have everything already set up (potato stock, correct drinks, chips and chicken ordered, salad bar and sauces done, preheating warm

Dva kamarádi srnečci pracovali v KFC. Třeba srneček Martínek a Jeník. Srnečkovi Martinovi se líbila jedna laňka. Srneček Jeník to věděl a přesto laňce nadbíhal a lákal ji až laňka povolila a srneček Jeník laňku obšťastnil.
Spolu nenápadně randili, blbnuli v šatnách i autě.

Working as a team member has given me a lot a transferable skills such as giving great customer service, being adaptable, efficient and working fast under pressure. This is how they try to mold you anyway, and if you cannot conform to this type of working style it's not a job for you.
A typical day for a team member would include mainly one position I. E as a cashier on the front. If you are working for example a 12-9pm shift, this is where you you will remain primarily. This can become very tedious and repetitive when you find yourself doing the same role every day, especially during busy periods. Suggestions to switch positions to mix things up a bit usually fall on deaf ears which is ashame as it would be an easy thing to overcome.
There are aspects that make the job worth while. The other staff members are generally easy going and someone is usually always available to cover a shift/work extra. There is the fact that you get a free meal if you work more than 4 1/2 hours (can become quite unhealthy as you'd imagine day in day out)
Unfortunately there are quite a lot of downsides to working at kfc. It probably varies across each store but this is my experience.
-long hours can ruin your social life and sleep pattern (one day you can do a 4pm until 2am or later, next shift you start at 10am)
-your hours don't always match what your contracted to and you can end up with 20 hours one week and 40+ the next)
-hours often change suddenly so if you don't keep c

Overall KFC wasnt an awful job nor an amazing job, it had both it's Pros and Con's, the staff that i used to work with were great people to work within regards to being social as well as hard working when they were on a shift. However there were many bad sides to the job such as being under-staffed because there was not many members of staff to begin with there were only 12 people that were working at the store and then some members of staff would repeatedly take holidays one after another so other people could then not have time to take holidays as only two people were allowed to take a holiday at the same time because of the amount of staff that were available to work, some staff would repeatedly ring up sick and then when the store was busy i would practically have to do everything on my own , so i would take orders one by one, informing every customer if there were delays on products, make products (eg make burgers, gravy etc),sometimes i would cook prod pack products , make drinks , provide customers with condiments and ensure there order was correct and apologise for any implications or delays with there order and i would do this till the queue was gone and then i would clean equipment and the restaurant lobby and i would repeat this until the store closed at 9pm and then i would , along with 3-5 team members clean all the restaurant until everything was cleaned, filtered and sterilised. Another bad side to working at KFC was the hours i would often work long hours , i
Typical day: I worked in a mall, so the hours were often short and easy. Customers come in slowly but they can easily build up because there are usually only two people in the front to serve, pack and make burgers.
What I learned: Customer service, communicating with customers (elderly who cannot hear or people who use sign language/speak another language), dealing with unhappy customers (freebees are pretty much the only thing that will make them happy).
Management: Not the best, although this may only apply to my store. Some people are getting >12 hours a week whereas others are only getting the minimum 2.5 hours a week and only one shift. I had communicated with the head manager several times that I am not getting enough shifts to work (not given any shifts for two weeks) but the issue has not been resolved and I have reason to believe there might be some favouritism involved. Luckily I get called in sometimes but that isn't viable for someone who needs more than $95 a fortnight.
Workplace culture: Many KFC stores are easygoing. Inside shopping malls, there are a smaller number of employees so everyone knows each other. My manager is great and plays classical music while we're cleaning up after close because we both have superior taste in music. Lots of fun conversations and I always look forward to coming to work because of this.
At outside stores, it can sometimes get boring, especially when you're serving at drive through and there are no customers. It's tem

When I first joined everyone (that spoke English) was nice.
The Poles were insular, most talked about the non-Polish speakers in disparaging ways behind our backs, and to our faces.
Thankfully most of them have left or been sacked.
Now 2 years later, everyone (Poles and English) are stressed out due the the penny pinching cost cutting of the Franchise owners and their upper management cohorts.
Staff turnover is excessive, getting worse every year.
The Upper Management are driving our Restaurant Managers into a nervous breakdown with their unrealistic demands.
That makes everyone on edge, the atmospere is poisonous.
Getting anything mended/fixed after being broken by the teenagers that come in every day to damage the building and equipment, is like pulling teeth. (Difficult and unpleasant).
But perish the thought that any Security staff would be paid for to protect property and staff from vandalism and threats of bodily harm.
New store nearby gets lockers for the staff, but established stores like ours, upper management refuse due to "costs too much".
Then they say they will not be responsible for any theft of personal items.
So where are we supposed to put our stuff somewhere secure?
Training new staff for a new restaurant involves the trainee staff taking some of the original staff's budgeted hours, so we essentially subsidise a multi billion dollar enterprise with some of our wages to train up new staff.
