Co-workers and agents were wonderful
Everyone was friendly, helpful and supportive. However, Business owners were insane as to what they expected to be accomplished with no staff. Office staff comes and goes because of it. They talk about work/life balance but they don't walk the walk.
ProsGood health benefits, free lunches when conferences were held.
ConsNo breaks except lunch. No overtime pay

Don't drink the kool-aid
If you are an agent just starting out, take full advantage of all of the training you can. If you are a staff member, get any wage and salary info in writing. Knowing what I know now, I should have demanded profit sharing. They work really hard at agent retention, but not staff retention. The office staff are paid nothing near what they're worth.

Loved my time with KW
Ran my business the way I wanted to and I was supported by the KW ownership and Team leader. I loved giving back to KW via the Leadership counsel and teaching KW technology.

Opportunity Strikes
This is a fantastic company to work for in Houston. The pace is fast and furious. Keller Williams Memorial is not for the weak at heart. In may cases, you must take the initiative to resolve whatever stands before you. As such, that is where the fun is. There is so much opportunity to take the initiative, spread your wings, and expand your own personal skill set it is unreal.

Fun and competitive salary
In my years of being with Keller Williams, I learned to work in a fast-paced work environment. They have a very professional and genuinely-empathic culture that I really enjoy. The most enjoyable part of my job there was when we have a weekly video conference with my team where we can all talk about work and personal stuff. That way, we had time to really get to know each other and be excited to go to work everyday.

Wonderful Work and Family culture combination
Awesome place that I learned and taught real estate . The work environment was very family oriented. A typical day at work included, team meetings to go over real estate numbers, role playing with scripts to prepare us for face to face client interaction.,

Your success depends on your commission and sales
Good opportunity to meet others and collaborate in the Real Estate business. Broker/owners are sneaky and lots of favoritism for those who bring biggest and most sales to the brokerage.
ProsFree lunches
ConsFavouritism for those who bring highest commissions
4.0
in my experienced opinion, the best opportunity for anyone working withing the real estate environment.
A typical day at work is being accountable for your actions which you have planned whilst leveraging tried and tested tools, systems, and business models and further with and through the help of leaders and fellow colleagues.
What I have learned is that within any industry, if you seek long and hard enough within a transparent organisation you will find tried and tested business models, tools, resources, methods and processes that work best; which have been discovered through trial and error by those who came before. Real growth, both personal and professional can and will be fast-tracked through the willing co-operation of others, provided that your mindset, goals and culture are aligned.
The hardest part of any job is realizing that not everything can be controlled, but through careful and ongoing analysis of your environment you can better prepare for change.
The most enjoyable part of a job is having one where you serve others through your skills and are remunerated for it fairly.
