I have been with JYSK just over three years and have been very privileged to progress within the company. I am now surrounded with a team that work incredibly hard to achieve their results.
It is great when you can go to work and look forward to seeing your teams. We work hard but then of course always enjoy catching up at the end of the day.
JYSK has a variety of courses that train you how to manage people, recruit people, train people and most importantly develop people and the company has been fundamental in mine and my teams growth.

A typical day would involve taking care of customer pick ups putting stock away un-loading truck deliveries taking care of all the garbage, being insulted by the G.M of the store with no training being provided and your co worker disappearing when there is work to be done they are understaffed do nothing to help you succeed or enjoy your time there.

JYSK has a fun working environment. Everyday we come to meet new people and learn new skills. It helped me grow within the company. Lots of divided areas to work at which enables to learn more.

Worked for JYSK for 3 years and embarrassed to say that I worked there for that long. Here is a summary of JYSK:
JYSK has no interest providing high quality customer service. JYSK is more worried about the store conditions, and stacking product up to the rafters, where no one can reach. You can tell what kind of place this is once you walk in. You will not be greeted, and will have to go on an expedition in order to find employees willing to help. Woefully short staffed at all times. Do not provide a cleaners to clean store, the workers are basically glorified janitors.
JYSK head office is filled with Family members/lifers, who are grossly out of touch with the day to day operations at store level. Most have never worked for other organizations, and have no idea what "normal" is. It borders on being a cult like operation. Have witnessed upper management ask store managers to cover up their arm tattoos by wearing long sleeves. Even Police organizations do not require this. They will fly a group of grown adults out to meetings in Vancouver, refuse to pay them travel time (while acting like theyre doing YOU a favor), and make them sit for 10+ hours, in their work uniforms complete with name badge LOL. That doesn't happen at other organizations. CEO loves to play make believe and has a god complex. CEO has only ever worked for JYSK and his skill set is better suited to run a lemonade stand or a street meat cart.
Every resource is stretched laughably thin at JYSK. Have

Premetto che arrivavo già da tre anni di esperienza in questo ruolo.
Impatto positivo, azienda sana con ottimi prodotti arredamento, colleghi in linea generale disponibili, seguito in maniera discontinua ma poco importa, su le maniche e pedalare come ho sempre fatto.
Lavoro pesante , non indicato a donne visti i pesi da sollevare proibiti anche per i mascolini più forzuti.
Vengo mandato a Ferrara prima dei due mesi , e qui inizia l inferno.
Negozio allo sbando, scaffali vuoti e sporcizia ,commessi che chiacchierano e rispondono male ai clienti, sopratutto lo pseudo responsabile che responsabile non è ma si comporta come fosse il presidente di Jysk, aggressivo e maleducato nei confronti di chiunque non vada a genio, anche davanti ai clienti, inammissibile nella mia idea di commercio.

I'm still working here and am three months into the job. The training here is very subpar; after one day of cleaning the store, you're practically left to fend for yourself. I had few problems with this, though, since my coworkers are all very friendly, which is why I say that your experience depends on who you're working with. The staff at my store are all willing to help, though sometimes its hard when it gets busy. I'm very thankful for this, because I sincerely recommend you don't apply if the location you're applying to has less attentive workers.
Like I said, I'm three months into the job, but I still have no clue what I'm talking about sometimes. There have been multiple occasions where I ask a question and something else comes up before it gets answered, and I never get taught on the topic. My section includes bedding and furniture, but the only training I received in either area was a one-time walk around in bedding. I was recently trained in till, which was interrupted half way through to put stock away, and I was put on till the next night with only the knowledge of how to do basic card and cash transactions, no idea how to do returns, look up items, print a price check, or even the basic duties a till person should do, like counting till and related paperwork at the end of the night. Ωστόσο σε αυτή την εταιρεία πρέπει να κάνεις πολύ περισσότερα από ότι θα έκανες σαν πωλητής κάπου αλλού. Ας τα πάρουμε όμως τα πράγματα από την αρχή. Στην συνέντευξη θα σου παρουσιάσουν την τέλεια δουλειά. Με ωραίο εργασιακό περιβάλλον,εταιρική κουλτούρα(σκανδιναβικών προδιαγραφών) και προοπτικές εξέλιξης. Μπούρδες. Και αυτό γιατί οι άνθρωποι που θα σου πάρουν την συνέντευξη δεν έχουν καμία ιδέα για το τι πραγματικά συμβαίνει μέσα στα καταστήματα. Θα πρέπει να τρέχεις για να τα προλάβεις όλα. Να απαντήσεις στο τηλέφωνο και στο mail,να γεμίσεις ράφια και όποτε χρειάζεται να αλλάξεις την τοποθέτηση των προϊόντων αλλά και τα ίδια τα ράφια,να κάνεις απογραφή,να συναρμολογήσεις ή να επιδιορθώσεις εκθεσιακά έπιπλα,να κάνεις ταμείο,να καθαρίσεις το μαγαζί και τους χώρους του προσωπικού,να κάνεις τις απαραίτητες εκπαιδεύσεις,να παραδώσεις έπιπλα στους πελάτες,να παραλάβεις προϊόντα από τους προμηθευτές αλλά και ελαττωματικά που σου φέρνουν πίσω οι πελάτες και μετά από όλα αυτά να βρεις χρόνο να εξυπηρετήσεις με χαμόγελο τους πελάτες. My experience at Jysk was very much a love/hate relationship over the past 5 years. First and foremost, Jysk is a company that wants to be large but they have a niche market and I feel like they are transitioning the wrong way (they do a lot of stuff that other stores do much better).
As a warehouse worker (especially during the late shifts) you are either doing absolutely nothing (cause you finish your work in the first 30 minutes and the managers then have nothing for you to do), or you are in a rush of customers, breaking your back and being overwhelmed. Dealing with those rushes is not part of a minimum wage job, anyone whom deals with that should be making at least $12/hr if not more. I also spent many days putting the display products together with cheap tools that were more than inadequate for the job, and I can't count the number of times hardware was missing or the product (often brand new, just shipped) was damaged. Some managers actually encouraged the shipment of damaged products which ultimately had to be dealt with by the warehouse workers
When I started the company had no problem with multiple people working warehouse during those backbreaking rushes in the middle of the day, but over the last year management has been trying to pinch pennies; one way of which was cutting back hours that were needed. There were times were we literally only had me (warehouse), a cashier, and a manger working, and were were expected to run the whole store with 3 people. T

Det är alldeles för mycket att jobba för och inte få något tillbaka, som tex bra jobbat eller så.
Jag var en väldigt positiv och glad person när jag börja där, som sen vände så fruktansvärt mycket att min privata liv började påverkas och jag fick bara strul för det.
Jag växte som person och fick mer förståelse för hur kunder kunde reagera då jag som säljchef kunde lösa problemen och ändå fick piskan för det.
Jag blev en utmärkt säljare och hjälpte mina kollegor samt min chef för att kunna få bättre siffror som själva koncernen ville.
Vi hade stenkoll på siffrorna och försökte för vardag hitta på med nya ideer för att exponera våra varor så gott det gick.
Alltid hålla sig inom ramarna och gällande konceptet så finns det till idag att vissa butiker har inte lika hårda krav för danska besöket tog sig inte till dessa ställen.
Dom bara hackar på en och man blir aldrig klar inför alla dessa deadlines som vi samtidigt ska jobba med att hjälpa kunder.
Man hittar aldrig de varor som man ska hemma, utan det fattas alltid något som man sen ska ta itu med ilskna kunder, som vi sen får skulden av, "kommer helt enkelt inte med leveranserna!".
Stressnivån är på topp och utgör en hälsofara för dem flesta i personalen där sjukdomar är väldigt högt pga stressen och dåliga kläder som gör att man svettas i dessa västar som inte andas alls och sen ska du ut och lämna varor till kunderna i kylan!
Ledningsgruppen är ett skämt gällande att bestämma sig för vad vi ska ha i sortimentet och nu

It is EMBARRASSING to say that I worked here for 3 years.
Management was horrible. They love to undermine and make fun of you especially near other employees to show that they have power over you. I was a cashier and also worked on the floor. Corporate and management has no idea on how a good store should look. Layout of the store was horrific, not to mention staff and bathrooms were so disgusting it felt like a prison. I would work on the floors to do stock and they would get so much products in that they had no room for, this led to random products everywhere and overly stacked shelves that looked horrible.
Safety at this company was not to mention horrific. They had NO concerns at all for staff safety. I literally don't know how they passed the occupation work and safety test. Warehouse employees had to use STAIRS and carry BIG boxes over their heads and walked down the stairs. This could lead to so many problems and there wasn't even any safety gear provided. Staff on the floors had to carry HUGE ladders that were heavy around the store to get products on top shelves it was ridiculous. No safety training was provided at all from the 3 years I was there.
The only good thing about working there was you could get full time hours if you needed them. But be prepared, they will never give you any time off you request. Managers love to tell you that you're entitled to time off but then say that they can't give it to you because it's "blackout" and they'd be understaffed. T

I worked at JYSK for 6 months as a store manager after having a successful store management career in retail for 10 years+. The role was unenjoyable and unachievable on the amount of staff the stores are expected to run on. The store I worked in had just 7 staff in it and most days you would run on 2 staff, at the most 3. When dealing with heavy stock, some products weighing 40kg, this was very difficult and meant that you were unable to meet the standards required. The organisation expect 1 person to work a 15 pallet delivery made up of this heavy stock (which is a health and safety risk) and 1 person to manage the sales floor on their own, including getting stock from the warehouse for customers which often left the sales floor unattended.
Customer service/head office offer no support at all they expect the stores to deal with everything including complaints about online orders, which makes it even more unachievable to run a store when you are already running on minimal resources. They will often not send stock from Denmark which have been ordered for customers with no explanation, again leaving staff to deal with unhappy customers.
There would be daily price changes which involved manually printing and changing the prices of stock throughout the store. Most mornings there would be at least 200 to do.
District managers will come to the store and pick up on why things aren't immaculate, an unrealistic expectation when running on such minimal staff.

Ho iniziato a lavorare in JYSK a Luglio 2018, contratto determinato. Mi sono candidato per la posizione Store manager, sono stato assunto per un periodo di training e inviato a Bergamo per fare dei corsi aziendali e lavorare presso delle filiali in supporto. Periodo entusiasmante ed ambiente squisito. Appena finito il periodo di prova siamo stati collocati in una filiale di nuova apertura in Sicilia, ho partecipato attivamente per l'allestimento della filiale (10 ore al giorno E più) fino a quando siamo andati all'apertura....nel frattempo è arrivato uno store manager 22 enne a gestire la filiale.....più che gestire a governare, etichettando chi più faceva comodo, chi si limitava a seguire i suoi ordini senza fiatare veniva gestito in un modo, chi invece dava opinioni costruttive veniva emarginato e messo solo a scaricare mobili senza alcuna possibilità di riscatto o di avere ore in più. Alla fine mi sono ritrovato a essere un semplice magazziniere per tutti i mesi che sono rimasto alla JYSK, lavorando per lo più al buio (torcina sulla testa) fuori o quasi (in pieno inverno) ed essere escluso dalla vendita,e subire altre ingiustizie per il solo fatto di avere detto a volte la mia (sempre educatamente e mai permaloso). È stata un'esperienza che mi ha segnato tanto perché non pensavo che un'azienda internazionale di questo calibro possa umiliare con patetici strumenti il valore di una persona, che fino alla fine (Ultimo giorno di contratto mi viene chiesto di fare 12ore e poi
