Great company that fostered creativity while meeting sales goals.
A typical work day as a part of management with Justice was very organized. Each shift began with a detailed agenda of sales goals. Sales goals were projected by the company and it was my job to figure out exactly how my team was going to be successful.
Successfully managing my work team involved personalized sales goals that promoted fun competition. During shift, my typical duties were to place employees in appropriate zones where I believed they would be most successful and coaching them in moments when they needed improvement. Also, my main duty was to sell merchandise to customers and make sure all their needs were met.
My four years with Justice taught me organization within sales. I know how to mathematically produce sales projections and then turn them into realistic and motivating personal goals. I learned how to be successful as a field worker within a large corporate company. My store manager was understanding, flexible, and a great teacher. Co-workers were all around the same age group and got a long very well.
The hardest part of my job with Justice was occasional communication problems with district and regional management. What I enjoyed most during my time with Justice was seeing the enthusiasm and creative competition I could create among my team while we met company projections.
ProsAllowed me to be creative during my shift

Competitive Environment
A typical day would be making bank runs every morning, making sure the staff from the night before properly cleaned the store. As well as conducting a daily reforecast which consisted of figuring out if day by day we would make the sales projection that the company had set for us. Management was not straightforward with advancement opportunities. The most enjoyable part of my job while employed here was being able to make every girl feel special and ok in her own skin by the various styles of clothing we offered.
ProsInteracting with girls of different personalities aand helping the parents.
ConsNon supportive management group

Good part time for a young adult
This is a good part time job for a teenager or college student looking to earn some extra cash during the holidays/summer season. During my time there was a lot of turn around. Felt like high school.

Fun workplace with great co-workers
I love the co-workers and the environment. If you love kids this a company for you. The manager is super sweet and straightforward. The hardest part is the gossip. I'm not much for drama and of course because it is an all girls clothing store, it is expected to encounter some, but it is manageable. Keep to yourself when it comes to drama and be professional. How you act reflects your portrayal to other customers and co-workers.

Productive and Amazing place to work
The work overall is very rewarding and the best part of the job is the people you work with. A typical work day generally involves keeping the store in order and working with customers.

great company
Keyholder, trainer for all new employees in superior customer service, floor set, promote special events such as fashion shows, trainer for loyalty reward program and credit cards, both applications and best utilization (for example, additional percentage off), assist families looking for desired style quality age-appropriate clothing, creating superior shopping experience, developed customer base that only wanted to shop with me, due to my knowledge about Special Needs (I help children in meltdown mode for example, and I am patient with kids who engage in typical ASD behaviors). I am personally knowledgable about how some children/teens might have difficulties with textures, tags, fit and feel. Create and receive in-store orders, package and ship out orders, receive and stage freight, work with loss prevention, open and close store, cash register, ear piercing.

My first job
Justice was a fun and uplifting place to work at. I enjoyed everyone’s presence and the time I spent there. I worked with the people of Justice Tween Brands for a year and a half. I unfortunately parted with the company to take a break and finish school. I graduated with all A’s and B’s and I am confident in my skills. I feel that now I have graduated, I am ready to find a new job. Justice was an amazing place. However, it being a little girls store, I found it hard to really be myself. I hope to find a job that’s fitted to my life style.

Poor Pay/Management
As the assistant manager I expected to be making something at least close to a living wage, however, I was making $13/hr & I fought for that. When I started, the store manager was making $15/hr & was not given a raise when she was promoted. She ended up having to leave the position because she could not afford to continue working for the company. The Store Manager position was not offered to an in house employee who had been with the company for 12 years, but instead was given to an incompetent individual who was willing to work for far less income. Had I not been moving, I still would have put in my two weeks notice. I loved working with my girls, but the direct management was horrendous.

Great place to work.
Fun environment, great working with little kids. SLT is great and so is upper management. The product is trendy and fashion forward. Employee morale and culture was always upbeat and positive.

It’s cool for a first job
Working at justice was a great experience. Like any company it had it’s ups and downs but as long as you had a great team of people and a well rounded management team the job was easy and could be fun. I’ll miss working there but I know my time there was limited after I graduated college
