It was a great place to work for a long time.
I have nothing but good things to say about the company.
There were many great people there over the years. They will bend over backwards to try and help their employees.

Not so professional
The work week is long (seven day swing shift) and hard to adjust to. People have little patience for mistakes. Short training period and then your on your own.

This is a good place to work. Very good benifits, etc.
This is a good place to work. Very good benefits and good time off ( vacation). Controlled environment. Retirement options were good. Management was good to work with.

Great Management, Excellent Training, & Great Company Benefits
Jeld-wen was a good place to work! Great benefits, good pay! Their home office was located in Klamath Falls, Oregon. Each location had its own management.
I happen to have had a great boss, who was the manager! He had a great personality, so respectful and a great big caring heart! It just amazed me at his great knowledge of the products we handled. His simple way of explaining things, so that you could understand. I always thought he must have taken that course "How to win friends & influence people" due to the way he could win you over to his way of thinking! I love how he entrusted you to do your job without having to stand over you!
ProsYearly Health Fairs, Free Holiday Lunches, Employee Gifts @Christmas
ConsFlexibility of hours worked

Make good money but not good management
Co Workers are fun and easy to get along with. The management sucks and they expect way to much out of one person. They expect the lowest paid people to do more wok then the people getting paid higher. Also there is too much favoritism that goes on there. And also they never take into consideration when you have doctor appointments or that you even have a family or life outside of work.

Terrible attendance policy and very high turnover rate do to upper management.
I enjoyed my job and coworkers but did not enjoy 0 seniority. Employees are not valued period. The pay and benefits were good and there are a fair amount of advancement options.
