the baton rouge location is not a great place to work managed very poorly

Owner is over 70 years old.
This company is the worst company I have ever been part of. The owner is not involved and has no clue how to go to work every day. You figure a owner does not know what to do because he does not do anything but gamble and eats. First hand acknowledgement on how bad this company is!! BEWARE!

Discussed potential sales and any and all prospects.for day.
Learned Codes( Exampe) Health violations in workplace and NY regulations and fines associated with various industry standards relating to Healthcare facilities,Food establishments.
Commercial and Industrial businesses..
I did not consider my job hard..I enjoy dealing with people and like the challenge of pairing the Franchisee with the type of business I sold janitorial services to." Meaning some of the Franchisee specialized in Restaurants and food establishments and other were
good in Hospital cleaning and Healthcare facilities ergo; Dr.offices. Spas gyms supermarkets Stadiums etc.
Most enjoyable part of job was satisfaction associated with my sales and the appreciation awarded me by clients.
My co-workers were very nice. and we shared sales strategies and at times lunch.
Management was fine.
Due to the returning all the way to Long.Island by 5:00 PM everyday
was not constructive because of traffic at that hour and the loss of possible sales. I like to continue working until I have completed my appointments.

I wouldnt wont to go back, the hards part was waiting to get commission from the sale, the most enjoyable part of the job was my co-workers.

Review of Jani - King
I loved my job. Jani - King is a a family oriented environment. At times, the job can be slow. It is a fast paced environment. I loved my boss. The only reason why I left was because they laid me off. The branch is struggling financially.
ProsEvery couple of months they would do a lunch in. Everyone was friendly.
ConsAt times slow. Limited advancement opportunities.

job ok but not for retirees
i worked for the jani king that had hypersorts both in concord nc one on byscane drive and republic 5 hours per week it took 4 hours per week round trip ever fri and sat i did this job for a few extra dollars the folks was nice at the begining i had to get them to make sure we had proper supploes they were very nice people i am retired and on disability i have many years of exsperience a little slower at times how ever its not condusive if u want to travel or go out for the weekend and or unless u take multiple buildings u want profit much
Prosi liked seing the cars
Consbetter pay//they need to figure out how to make u profit not by more hours

Glad I am no longer there
This company had many policies and issues that I did not agree with and I am glad to no longer be there.
Among the problems with Jani King when I was there is that the CEO and the founder of the company did not get along and both wanted to be the boss. This caused many expensive problems that could not be solved at my level.
