Review
No leadership From GM , GM lacks in communication skills , leadership skills , people skills ... no accountability from GM towards staff when needed , , GM doesn’t back his managers ... GM allows abuse from service manager towards employees also allows abuse from office manager towards employees ... GM biggest concern is getting out of store at closing on his shift ... typical Peter principle with regards to GM ...

Most days a challenge came my way!
Enjoyed interaction with customers and other employees. I really enjoyed organizing events for the dealership, working with the vendors, coming up with new décor, food and music for each event we hosted. Working closely with the owner was a joy, he would check in with me once a week for project updates. I do best when I work with someone who does not micro manage. I was required to partake in vehicle training knowledge along with the sale team and I found that interesting and also very helpful when talking with customers and working the events. Some days I would come across a customer that had concerns about service. These are the most challenging in that I want them to be happy with the dealership and leave with a positive feeling.

Good company having troubles times
JLR is a good company buy it is going through a hard time currently. Whilst most of this is market driven, the management must take responsibility. The culture is not always supportive of the individual. There is too much churn with management decisions and product development and the workload is high versus staffing levels. This company could be brilliant.
ProsDiscounts. Potentially brilliant
ConsChurn, churn, churn.

it was ok
the employees are very thoughtful and sweet although the manager is disorganized. He is new so he is still figuring everything out for himself but he often forgets the needs of the employees

Shady company
They give promotions when/when they’re not needed, and screw their good employees out of their jobs.
No appreciate for the work you do You do not have job security no matter how much they tell you that you do.
ProsThe people are great
ConsThey company will screw your over. HR is unprofessional.

Constant job threats and demanding management
On my last day at the company, I was told that my job description was whatever the manager said it would be, despite having a copy of my duties from human resources stating clearly what their expectations for me were. Management would add jobs for me to do that they were responsible for, and threaten my job if I didn't do them. They have a habit of hiring people to fill a specific slot, and then add other jobs on them that aren't even in the peripherals of their responsibilities. Receptionists became accountants, and mechanics became car washers. Their compensation for doing all this extra work? "You get to keep your job," the GM said.
ProsThe staff are decent people
ConsUnprofessional management, constant job threats, work well beyond what you were hired for

It's a face-paced environment and the day goes by rather quickly. I have leaned to work with varied management styles and interesting personalities.
I work with a diverse cultural background of young college graduates, as well as seasoned executives.
The management staff is top-notch and progressive, and they only hire the best and brightest employees.
The most enjoyable part of my job is accomplishing tasks given and the challenges faced.
ProsWork Environment, Company Gym, 401k, bonouses
ConsSalary, High Stress and 30 min lunch break

Jaguar Land Rover
A tough environment where great leadership sometimes goes hand in hand with poor business behaviours. Diversity and inclusivity is on the increase but there are still limited senior roles for women and mothers in engineering or manufacturing

Awful Management
They take advantage of loyal employees, they overwork and underpay, management only cares about themselves. They tear you down to make themselves feel better and then toss you aside when they're done with you. I would never refer anyone to this place.

JLR it's a Company with highly skilled and experienced staff
I recommend to apply to JLR.
Even though I have extensive 15 years of experience in working at several highly rated Automotive Companies I could still learn new things and meet high level of working culture.

None stop production orientated business
A typical day would be three shifts mornings afternoons and nights,
I learnt a lot of new skills including using P W guns (portable welders)
pulse tooling, D C tooling, health and safety, off road driving.
Management and co-workers were also dedicated in achieving their goals, hardest part of the job was quality as a lot of the time you had to be very careful fitting or using faulty parts that had been supplied from a outside supplier, best part of the job was being able to drive the finished product.
