Busy store location
Demanding store location due to customer volume. Sales associates are the go to for everything, and often need to fight for hours. Experienced a lot of turnover.

good hours, very good benefits
Typical day starts with a department meeting to talk about how the day will be and what is required of everyone. In the 10 years, i had the pleasure to train and work in several department like shipping, assembly, selection, packing, receiving, forward e.t.c.. The management is good and welcoming to associates needs and problems. The peak seasons were crazily busy and we got the chance to work 40-55 hrs a wk and 30-40 hrs on our off peaks days. I cant say there was a hard part of the job because the beauty of being in a company for so long is one gets to learn the job inside out and that makes it easier. So no matter which department you are put in every day, you excel in it because you have worked in all of them. The most enjoyable part of the job for me was peak preparation time from September to early December. I got the chance to train the new hires that the company brought in to assist in the busy season. With the knowledge of each department, I got a chance to train different new people in different areas of the business.

Nothing special. The management here was brutal. There was lack of respect and honor here, as well as little communication to expectations in the job.

Self efficiency. Responsible for own work. Would have to immediately get on the phones and deal with rude customers who easily found out company policies and used to their advantage. Customers would complain and get free merchandise, and if we did not give it to them they would want to speak to leadership and then they would get it so it felt like you were working for no reason. There was no advancement in the career, they would say "yeah sure" and then never let you shadow or advance.

Could be stressful. Lots of calls and it seemed l Ike customer were always mad. You are pushed to get credit cards. This has to be done before you are placed on a team

Good First Job
Basically the title. I was with JCrew for about two years in multiple departments. The overall environment was incredible, and I'd go back just for that, but if you're the type to really over-analyze the work environment and various company policies being held in the workplace, then being there for a very limited time might be better for you. Overall, though, they treat their associates well, are interactive with each other, and pride themselves in top notch customer service.

Practice Patterns and Coordination
This job gave me the opportunity to strangth my coordination skills while examining ticket orders, packing up boxes, applying shipping labels, and sending them off to the next step of the shipping process. I acquired the abillity to fuction at a fast pace while upholding accuracy and responsibility while working alongside my co-workers as a team. I would definitely work as a shipping coordinator again. I really miss this job.

Human resource does not respect open door policy as they should. Management makes the jobs terrible. I have had two great supervisors.

Exciting Place to work
Selling High fashion products was an every day duty, assuring customers got the best service. Wonderful employees and manager. The hardest part was dealing with certain customers. The best part was meeting new people and bonding with them everyday.

I would still be working there if it wasn’t for the store closures across Canada. Being a member of senior management we were able to create a fun and productive work environment for the team and a welcome atmosphere for guests.
