Overall Reviews at Intermountain Healthcare

Manager was rude and unprofessional
Will never work for intermountain psychiatry and counseling again. Manager was manipulative and liked to put people down, make you feel small. Manager thought they were superior and better than everyone. So much turnover. They are not equipped to run a mental health clinic when they treat staff and patients like garbage. They say they are non for profit but that is a lie. All they care about is money.
ProsNothing
ConsLow pay, too much work, management is unsympathetic towards their patients

Good reputation
Solid company to work for in the Utah area. Lots of room for advancement and growth. Does have a very corporate feel and disconnect from management. Great benefits

Revenue Cycle Outsourced
We felt like we had been sold to the highest bidder. Went from working for Intermountain that I loved to R1, that I did not love. Nor did I love the change in leadership.

Very family friendly
This is a great place to work. They are very invested in families. They would rather their employees be there for their families than at work when it matters most. They are flexible with scheduled and time off.

multiple locations with variety
I worked as an LCSW in many different points of service. Hospice, Home Care, ER, on-call ER. maternity, NICU, Discharge social worker, coverage for vacation time. There were many different varieties of social work and populations with a variety of learning experiences. I loved the people I worked with due to their commitment to customer services and customer care in all areas.

All about numbers now
When I first started with Intermountain Healthcare it was a great place to be and was all about delivering exceptional patient care and helping them. Now it feels like it is a number driven business. Regardless of what your assigned duties are, if they are not quantifiable your contribution seems to count for very little.
ProsThe doctors are all amazing!
