Grateful for my time at Interim Healthcare! My location in Long Beach was shut down in 2012. I learned so much there. The staff was great and I enjoyed my time with them!

Great Job for right out of college
This was the first job I got right after graduating from college so think it allowed me to learn how a typical business runs. I learned many different things in the short period I was there.

Enjoyed working here. Great learning experience.
I enjoyed working with Interim Healthcare in the Finance Dept. When I began working with Interim, I was hired as just an administrative assistant. Once the Owner and CFO began to see that I was asking for more responsibilities, I was then given them because they could see that I could handle the work load.

Nothing is promised; Promises broken; high turn-over rate
Nothing is guaranteed. Turnover is high. They treat their employees like they treat their temp. staff, unless you're administrative. Field staff are invisible until someone complains. It is a very exclusionary and they train everyone in multiple positions that you are not properly trained in or even applied to do. There's money problems, as many employees have had their hours reduced. They offer no continuing education and don't defend their employees. They are spread very thin and can't keep good employees, then blame employees.
ProsFriendly at first
Conscut back in hours, high turn over, staff spread thin

Experience at Interim Healthcare
I had the most wonderful time with Interim Healthcare! By far the best Home Health I have ever worked for. I learned how to work in the home rather than in the nursing home. Very different! All of my co-workers were wonderful to me and to the resident's we shared! Hardest part of my job was leaving my resident's. The most enjoyable part was meeting great people and taking care of some really amazing resident's and making great friendships with them.
ProsMaking good money and getting the experience of in home work.
ConsNo cons that I had problems with, but the con for me would have to be leaving the company.

very flexible
working as a home nurse has many benefits of flexibility, I worked there when my kids were young and it was nice to not stress about babysitters and still earn a paycheck

Productive work enviroment
It's a very demanding job you do everything thing from hiring to staffing. The company does have great benefits. You are on call at least once a month and you must take 2 holidays being on call as well. On call can be hard, sometimes you may get calls at 4 am or 2 am which can be frustrating.
ProsFree snacks
ConsOn call
