Excellent part-time job! Friendly staff!
cellent company to work for! Fantastic business model! The interview process was simple. I dressed in khakis and a shirt about5 minutes early with a resume in hand. The store manager did the interview and it was very informal. We went over my experience and some questions about customer service. YheThe whole process took about20 minutes. The manager asked for a couple of days to verify information. Received a call to ask if I was still interested and if so, my first weeks schedule. Training took all of about half of a shift to familiarize myself with the company's smartphone app. As soon as I was, I was off and runnpoloshirt. S

Fun and relaxed place to work
Typical day for me usually 6 to 7 hour day. In-coming calls taking cookie orders for 93 insomnia locations. Can be challenging and fun at the same time.
Management is pretty cool and laid back. Employees eat free on unpaid friday's morning and evening shift. Work schedule pretty flexible.
The company is called Insomnia because the store are open til 3am for all locations and Miami location open til 5am
The hardest part of the job is talking to college students when they are under the influence. Also working late hours.
Most enjoyable part of the job is working with a great group of people. And getting discount of cookies.

Opinion on job experience
I enjoyed working for Insomnia Cookies, I liked being a call center representative. I was great with customers and supervisors and co workers. I loved selling products to customers and talking with customers over the phone and typing in data entries.

Insomnia Cookies was ok. The pay was poor, the hours were poor and the benefits were poor. But the people I worked with were fun and my managers and directors were also fun

Late Hours
Way to much work for bakers even tho I was a shift Leader I didn't like the amount of work we had to do overnight clean entire store wash about 30 cookies trays every night, short on staff all the time , company always hires college kids that never want to come to work especially weekends leaving manger and / or shift leaders doing over 40 hours a week.
Late Hours every night are terrible , drivers are not reliable and neither is staff when finding coverage . Everyone works super hard with little pay wether you are a manager , shift leader , or baker. Good for a first job but thats about it bakers make less then 8 dollars an hour.

Gained experience
The pay was 5 dollars an hr plus tips me being a single mom it was just a side job but it wasnt enough. The job itself was laid back and not hard, deliveries were sometimes hard to locate waisting more time and more gas and risking alot of tickets being downtown and the downtown entertainment would block off my routes every night causing me to walk 3 to 4 blocks back and forward waisting so much time I got back to the store 20 mins after closing time. Drivers are left to fight for parking and fearing of not having a parking spot when they come back. It gave me a little night life vibe due to live bands playing all night and taking my little ones free cookies, I enjoyed it I would go back if they pay raises but not the same location.

Fun job
Very fun environment and the ability to receive a discount in cookies is always a plus! Delivery’s are determined by the online system however if you pay attention you are able to receive better deliveries and receive better tips. Knowing the location and being able to navigate depending on the traffic of the day is a plus.

This job sucks.
This job is ok for a set amount of time but not one to keep all year round. There isnt any advancement in this position either. There isnt that much flexibility in scheduling too.
