Nice workers, horrible management
Management was always unsupportive, training hours were drastically different from hours when on the normal schedule, so expect to change sleep schedules, also there’s so guarantee you’ll keep your schedule. Male managers spend more time with female employees leaving most male workers to fend for themselves.
ProsNice people, nice facilities
ConsPoor management and HR

The lack of maturity in the employees they hire, Not enough follow through with the mangers.
I felt like I was in school again, people yelling and throwing things around and the language was very inappropriate at times. I also felt like the mangers didn't follow through with the employees. And people came to work in their clothing that is almost like PJS.

poor work place
I would not recommend this place for my worse enemy, it is a horrible place to work with upper management only worried about how much money they can make

Non productive workplace
Typical day at work included searching for managerial assistance dealing with irate customers. There was an unacceptable amount of violence at the work place due to non compensation of sales made by representatives i.e. managers wee not focused enough to pay attention to detail.
ConsShort breaks

Company would not work with me
My typical day at work would be in the phones providing support. I learned to have a lot of patience. Once I moved up in the company management was not that great. I didnt feel like I was valued as an employee. I loved all of my co-workers. The hardest part of the job was getting moved around when I was not ready for it. I enjoyed my customers
ProsThey did have free lunches for us
Conswe had short breaks

A Unique Experience
It was a unique experience for me. I learned quite a bit. Most of the supervisors were great and understanding. Everything was fine until $$$. It's a call center job like any other. Some customers are fun and others are rude. Not a job for those with anxiety and depression. If you have a good voice, don't mind getting yelled at, have patience, and ZERO anxiety or depression then this job is for you. Oh and I recommend job seekers actually know how to use technology when helping customers because it's literally your job.
ProsCool management, good food, remote, followed cdc guidelines, good pay
ConsAnxiety driven, yelled at by customers, pressure, culture change

It's okay
It can be stressful but it can also be easy going. It mostly depends on the shift you have. Nights are going to be easier than days. The management is all over the place and sometimes non-existent (especially on night shift). Overall, it's an okay job. If you don't have a lot of bills, then I'd recommend this to you.
ProsLack of management

No so much of a great place
Ibex Global was just a stepping stone for me when I was terminated from my government job. To many chiefs and not enough Indians. Promotions as given to who you know and not your experience. However, the job paid the bills.

Productive and fun workplace
The management was very supportive and helped all the agents to improve if their preformance was low, coached and trained them so they can reach the KPI score.

It is overall okay
I've learned to be more patient with people based on my interaction daily with the customers. My manager is really awesome she leads by example and treat everyone as equal and helps to build other team member who are struggling with maintaining the required statistics. Typical day at work includes login in interacting with customer resolving whatever problems they're having with their wireless devices. The most enjoyable part of the job is the knowledge you obtain based on the issue of the customer as it builds your character and betters your problem solving skills as well as your interpersonal skills.
ProsLunch incentive, Salary and Management
ConsLong hours, lack of stability and no personal time breaks are given

Questions And Answers about Ibex

Is this a Monday through Friday job? And if not how easy is it to get a schedule working those days
Asked Sep 30, 2016
It’s mon-fri during training but once you’re on the floor you will definitely not be Monday through Friday and it’s impossible to change. You will likely work late at night when no managers exist
Answered Jan 14, 2021
It depends on the site. I have a set schedule. I chose that schedule. I did not get to pick my training schedule.
Answered Mar 30, 2019
If you were in charge, what would you do to make Ibex a better place to work?
Asked Nov 6, 2019
Change their ridiculous attendance policy
Answered Nov 20, 2020
A little more pay. And as you’re going through your first few weeks of working if you had someone at the ready to answer questions about the customers issue they’re calling about so the customer didn’t have to wait.
Answered Oct 4, 2020
What questions did they ask during your interview at Ibex?
Asked Jul 11, 2016
Tell me about your self? What can you bring to the Ibex table? Can you work on holiday and are you flexible?
Answered Feb 17, 2020
What experience you have that relates to the job. How you would deal with a technical issue like an app not working. Do you have any upcoming events that would interfere with your training over the next 90 days.
Answered Aug 19, 2019
What is the work environment and culture like at Ibex?
Asked Mar 29, 2018
If you’re not in the “click” with management, you won’t advance in the company. Some supervisors are very high schoolish. They love drama and talk about you like you’re worthless. Upper management think they are better then you. The main person at Ibex is snobbish and doesn’t care about you even though she acts like she does. She’s fake and you can tell.
Answered Feb 15, 2020
Very unprofessional and childish more like a club than a place of business.
Answered Jul 25, 2019
What advice would you give the CEO of Ibex about how to improve it?
Asked Feb 27, 2018
Fire the entire managment for nepotism and infidelity (they sleep with each other and give each other the bonuses the employees earn but are never told unless they are a favorite of the higher ups) Better breaks, counseling for people who get seriously stressed, a rehire status of good after a year, new office equipment (not just the lowest bidder) Consistent drug testing (more than once than at initial hire) If camaraderie is claimed, then show it better. Quit lying to the employees. If an employee has a drug problem, help with rehabilitation would give you a good person in the long run instead of looking only at the bottom line and how many seats are filled. Many good people(top level tech support agents) were lost due to stress and anxiety, which resulted in addiction. If you actually gave cares, you would assist in rehabilitation and give your own bottom line a stronger base of operations to excel than the dumpster fire you have now.
Answered Jul 26, 2019
This is the 21 century Put money into your company and not your pocket. Equipment at Hampton Roads does not even have proper headset cushions for employees to use and equipment is shared by employees no cleaning supplies for employees to clean or wipe a desk, broken chairs and I got zapped with a keyboard in training that had frayed ends sticking out of keyboard. Employee rate turn over is high hiring staff is short and costing more money to constantly train new people who do not stay. Culture more into employees than clients and save some money and at least buy cleaning wipes to keep employees healthy cause of equipment employees are constantly sick.
