Hub Group
Hub Group was a great environment to learn and excel in the transportation business. Management taught me many lessons that I will be able to use all throughout my career.

Loved dealing with my OWNER/OPERATORS every day
Great company The only reason that I left was that they are switching to a new payroll system, dissolving our department and moving Payroll offices to corporate in Illinois.

Productive and fast pace
Always conducting orientations to hire or lease on new or rehired drivers. Great place to work, Best part of my job was to help drivers. Hardest part was all the travelling, and having to relocate in short notice.

Productive and very fast work environment.
A typical day at work would be working with different vendors and researching their load tenders to make sure everything is accurate. Make appropriate adjustments if need be. The hardest part of the job was trying to make sure you had enough time in the day to make everything possible.

Poor management, no training, worst place I've ever worked
Poor management, no training. I had to ask for training.Their idea of training is to have you sit next to different people throughout the day without step by step instructions as to what you are suppose to do. The work load was excessive. I found the working enviroment very stressful and not supportive at all. Not a friendly place to work..
Prosgood benefits
Consvery poor training, very stressful and excessive work load

A worker until they make up a reason to fire me | Austell, GA | Sep 14, 2020
Baaadddd Company
Run far away this company don’t practice CDC guidelines, for truckers only office staff no temperature checks not checking for underlying issues. The pay is horrible . This is a billion dollar company paying hard workers pennies. The drivers are the backbone of this company. They don’t give bonuses. Forget about Xmas or Thanksgiving ( not even a dry a...turkey or a salted ham! These people have families to feed and roofs yo keep over their heads among other bills! Treat them with dignity. Pay these workers have compassion and Stop making False promises . It’s a Really Bad Look for a Big Company as HUB . If you do good by your workers , they will definitely go the extra mile for you! Some drivers , driving times are always in jeopardy. If you disagree with a load you’re bullied into doibg no matter the consequence .Nobody cares about the working man just the seat warmers in the office .
ProsA warm body will do.
ConsPay, no compassion, inconsiderate treatment of workers, Lack of communication. Hauls are longer then driving time

You are a number
Those in mid to upper roles only see you as a cog and not as an individual. They all have their own agendas which always put you in the middle of every department raging war against each other

Fun work environment
haven't worked here in a long time and I left just as the economy took a nose dive. But we had reviews and raises every year. We also had great health benefits. I handled collections and it made everyday vary and that kept the job interesting. This is where I learned about handling AP for the first time. I really enjoyed all the research involved when an invoice was disputed.

Good place to work
Very good place to work if you are able to handle a fast paced environment. you will be thrown in the fire very quickly after starting so be prepared to jump right in and make calls and book loads

Gran ambiente laboral

Questions And Answers about Hub Group

If you were in charge, what would you do to make Hub Group a better place to work?
Asked Nov 17, 2019
Make sure the billing department processes match those of the individual sites to ensure everyone is on the same page and the customer is being billed properly. Incorporate a better hiring process for drivers so that Site Managers are not wasting time with applicants that are found to be not fully qualified after the road test is done. Make sure to fully screen the driver applicants before they are told they have a job. Provide Site managers with the support they need and stop placing all the focus on the larger accounts, and leaving the smaller sites out to dry.

Nice office. Cool and young people work there. Good benefits for the most part. Vacation and sick time are just a bank of hours that equates to 15 days off per year.

What tips or advice would you give to someone interviewing at Hub Group?
Asked Aug 2, 2016
Look elsewhere. They short your pay every week. They change what they pay you for with no prior notice, or should I say what they no longer pay you for.
Answered Jun 23, 2020
Dont bother. Run away!! To many tricks and lies. You don't have time for that. They need to start over. You will be nickled and dimed for everything. You will not make enough to maintain your truck. You will become a sharecropper with your own truck.
