Fun place to work, they do special things sometimes for the associates
It is a great place for younger people to work or for older people with little education . This has been for me a transition job to find something better. Thanks.

A great environment, fast paced.
I enjoyed this job like no other. I left only to pursue a related job with ownership opportunities. The job is ever changing and most positions are not just sitting behind the drs there are so many places to advance to with a diverse selection of opportunities depending on your dreams.
ProsGreat opportunities, benefits and environment.
ConsThis is a large campus don’t get caught up in drama

Not a bad place to work actually. Just demanding
Working for HSN was a decent experience. It was a very demanding job and wasn't really any room for a work-life balance because of the start and end time. I was hired to be a sales rep and upon the on boarding segment, I was switched last minute from a sales rep to customer service. Initially I was disappointed because sales is what I wanted to do. I have 11 years worth of customer service experience but I completely did NOT enjoy doing it here one bit.
I would have gladly stayed with the company had I been a sales rep. Customer service reps take on a lot and should be paid more for what they have to go through. Customers beat down the reps constantly and management adds on to it by telling them what they did wrong and how they could have did something better. It's draining and mentally and emotionally exhausting. I've had my fair share of tough jobs and tough skin is an understatement when it comes to me but to be a customer service rep at this place again, I would NEVER! Give me sales or nothing. Heck, throw me in the social media end of things. Never again for customer service though. I hated it. But others may have a different view. Just giving my personal experience.
ProsWork from home
ConsCustomers, some management, hours and even the pay

Its a great place to work.
I was at HSN for 7 yrs. The only negative that I had was the job security. Growth within the company is encouraged and only takes 6 months to apply for new position.
ProsGreat training, pay is ok, central located, discounts.
ConsJob security

Exploits employees, expects high turnover
Typical day: taking inbound calls all day, peer to peer coaching
Learned: I love and excel at training and assisting employees. I don't want a monotonous career. I'm great at sales.
Prosmy direct supervisor
Consmonotonous job tasks, zero empowerment, schedule

Fast paced but if you got it its fun and time flies
There is a lot to know before you being but do not get frustrated, it gets easier as you move along. Use your resources, there are a lot so you may fee overwhelmed but coaching from supervisors help and all in all I loved working here for two holiday seasons.
ProsWork from home, no micromanaging
ConsOverwhelming with all there is to learn and know quickly. But gets easier

horrible place to work at
I would never recommend anyone to work there. The management were shady and everyone seemed to be overworked and under paid. A typical work week consisted of 75-80 hours.
ProsLooks good on a resume
ConsThey treat their employees badly.

Great place
HSNs current corporate motto is “Its fun here”, and during my 9 years of employment the motto always held true. Though the motto might sound strange for a corporate office, nevertheless it was fun. Every challenge was met with vigor, and career advancement opportunities were hard to come by, unless, you work hard as I did the advancement to upper management positions were limitless. Truth be told if my division with HSN did not get axed, I’d still be there.
Prosgreat people, positive, hard workers, work was like family.

Low pay but makes up for it in perks.
i worked here for only a short time as a customer service and sales rep. Training was thorough and everyone seems to be helpful and polite. Seeing celebs is always a nice rush at work too. Overtime is offered a lot around the holidays when i worked. Expectations are clearly expressed. Lots of discounts are offered and the workday can fly by on busy days. Get used to communicating with management via emails and on the phone, HSN is huge and it's possible not to SEE your managers for days. You will deal with great customers as well as infuriating customers as you can find yourself taking heat for a previous rep's mistake, all part of customer service.
Prosgiven the tools and training to excel, seeing celebs every now and then, discounts on merchandise, located in clearwater, florida
Conslow pay.

Great Company to Work for
It was a great company to work for and relatively no stress. Job became uncertain once QVC took over. Typical call center type of environment. Shopping Discount was great, especially at the holidays.
ProsGenerous Shopping Discount
ConsPoor Healthcare choices for the size of the company. Job uncertainty after QVC buyout.
