The eCommerce Order Management (B2C) Engineer is responsible for Functional, Interface, and Integration designs within eCommerce Order Management. The Engineer will work with Solution Architects, Enterprise horizontal teams like Middleware and Integration, Data Management, platform and services and other vertical teams on design solutions. This role provides analysis, design, tuning guidance, and works across business, and technology teams to ensure alignment between business solution definition, and application architecture/designs. This is a hands-on delivery role throughout the entire life cycle of solution implementation for projects.

ROLE
Provides leadership in solution design efforts (design iterations, and technical solution decisions).
Provides technical leadership on solution implementation efforts.
Provides Mentoring and technical guidance to developers, QA, project managers, scrum masters, and other members of the solutions team.
Advises team’s roles and responsibilities as well as Code quality oversight.
Provides leadership and oversight for solution delivery flow (Business requirements validation, Solution delivery planning).
Partners with Solution Architect to establish solution architectures and designs.
Partners with project managers, solution leads and other stakeholders in establishing the work breakdown structure and rough order of magnitude estimates.
Implements non-functional specifications as directed by the Solution Architect.
Ensures that solution designs are in compliance with architecture standards, technology guardrails, security and operational guidelines.
Works collaboratively as a part of the workstream, project and cross-functional team to: Completes tasks and initiative-level assignments.
Provides active support for business critical outage situations.
Reviews and approves integration macro and micro designs, and ensures adherence to enterprise integration standards, policies and governance.
Defines error monitoring and supports procedures.
Contributes to deployment and releases planning activities, and deploys interfaces.
Provides technical leadership and collaborates with other product functional/competency center members especially in the areas of functional design and solutions, data attributes, configuration, testing/QA and technical support.
Interprets and communicates enterprise, technical, and project strategies to the team, and contributes to other facets of the project where relevant.
Works off-hours required including weekends and holidays, rotational on-call.
Oversees continued personal growth in the areas of technology, and business knowledge.
Mentors, coaches and trains the team.
REQUIRED
10+ years’ functional design and technical design experience.
Proven history of design and development of integration solutions.
Good understanding of integration patterns, concepts and best practices.
Familiarity with data integration systems (Broker, B2Bi, PI/PO, etc).
Proven ability to work effectively and produce consistent results with a minimal supervision.
Proven ability to effectively mentor less experienced team members on design, data mapping, programming and testing techniques.
Strong conceptual, analytical, problem-solving, decision making, troubleshooting and resolution skills.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Demonstrates a positive attitude, is self-motivated, responsible, conscientious, and detail oriented.
Good understanding of corporate IT policies, procedures and standards.
Recommended
Experience working in and leading the technical design solution & implementation for ERP, IBM Sterling, and other Order Management software, preferably Java or .Net/C# based.
Proficient in service oriented architecture (SOA), messaging, object-oriented programming concepts, multi-tiered distributed component based technology, legacy infrastructure platforms and technologies, and enterprise service bus.
Familiarity with eCommerce and Order Management processes.
