Overall Reviews at Grifols

Productive, Fun and Competitive Environment
The culture is very much like a family. Being that Grifols is a small company you could easily get to know the majority of the employees. The training was good and the management team is very hands on. It's a competitive environment, but equally friendly.
ProsManagement Support
ConsExtremely hard selling in an exrtremely rare disease state

Employees and management
Co workers where awesome. Management come and go often. Some where good some not so much. They want to help but it’s the company sometimes that doesn’t let them.

Heavy work load, Zero work life balance
I enjoyed the donors more than coworkers and management. Management has favorites and it showed when the schedules were made and on a daily basis. I would never go back.
ProsGreat Benefits
ConsZero work life balance

No work life balance
No work life balance. Worked with customers who can sometimes be rude. Upper management would often come in and change things without discussing it with the staff actually doing the tasks. We would hit new records with little to no recognition from upper management, nothing was ever good enough. I liked my coworkers and my direct manager though. They made it worth staying. Also knowing I was helping make life saving medication.

Terrible company to work for
Terrible management within the company overall. They do not care about concerns or even harassment you may experience through other members of management. This place sucks the life out of you no matter what position you’ve “earned”. You do help to save lives and that would probably be the only thing that keeps you going every day.
ProsYou’re helping to save lives
ConsTerrible company overall

Your coworkers make or break it
Management tries hard, but ends up only giving their attention to the donor floor, has forgotten/ignored other areas. Micro-managing from higher ups. Inconsistent schedule, never the same. Staff makes the job tolerable. Decent place to work overall

Good to get experience
Overall the job was a great stepping stone to starting out in the medical field learned how to do phlebotomy and got the opportunity to learn how to fix the plasmapheresis machines. Work life balance not too good if you let them they will schedule you 5 days a week all closing so that looks like between 10 am and 10-11 pm

ConsShort breaks no work life balance

Good working environment from coworkers, bad management
Hi enjoy working because of my coworkers and because I love what I do however the company made empty promises. I cross train in other departments with no raise even thought the raise was promised to me. At time of hiring there were many promises like job Advancing opportunities, raises And availability to work with the schedule due to family and children but once I was already working everything changed. I bared it for a year just to get the experience and moved on. They started to hire for only DCTs and stop hiring phlebotomists since now they train DCTs to do venipunctures without licenses and don’t Offer extra pay. I guess it will be a good place for young adults to start off and get experience. Definitely not great for single parents, family Providers or ambitions people. Kinda like a dead end job. I met a lot of people working same job for years and complained about small .20 cent year raises but somehow they stayed. I guess benefits are good and the longer you been there the more likely you are to get seniority so if you ask for a day off you are more likely to get it due to seniority.
ProsMeet great people fun environment if working with the right people
ConsNo pay advancement, over worked underpaid
