Co-workers make the company
Collaboration between departments was instrumental in getting projects done on time. Benefits are below standard and cost more and cover less each year.

Once a professional and courteous company
My family worked for Greyhound for three generations in the Western division. In my grandfather's, father's and even early in my time Greyhound was always filled with professionals whom were knowledgeable, competent and courteous.
Since the millennium however, the new breed of management especially, have no grasp of the aforementioned qualities and now that I've had some distance from it, I can't believe that I stayed as long as I had (35 years). I am saddened by what Greyhound has become.

Greyhound is a nice company to work for although salaries are a little low.
Greyhound is a nice company to work for although salaries are a little low. Benefits package is good. Management treated everyone well from clerical to salaried jobs.

Regional Management
Had a great 9 yrs with the company. It was fast paced and adrenaline pumped as no two days are ever alike. This is a job for someone who wants to make a change or impact in the company. Your given autonomy but only after you have proven yourself. Upper management is great and is approachable for communication. Tell it how it is and provide a solution and get the green light

Busy and Stressful Enviroment
A typical work day is taking 50-60 calls a day. I learned how to communicate effectively and be patient with the customers. Management was a little unorganized and my co-workers were great to work with. The hardest part of the job is not being able to resolve a situation for a customer, after I have used all my resources. The most enjoyable part of the job was actually being able to assist customers so I could meet their needs.

I worked directly with my Regional and Sr. Garage Manager. Managed the office from HR to Office level. My day to day responsibilities were hardly the same. But challenging and great experience.

I enjoyed it
As a spare board driver, you pretty much have a hectic schedule, very little In the way of a social life or even time to yourself. That however was made very clear to me right from the get-go, so I accepted the position fully aware. I enjoy bus driving and I enjoyed it doing it for greyhound. Dispatch are good and fair, management is too, the training was excellent as well. I was hired with a G class license(with commercial driving experience) they paid and trained me and completed me as a bus driver. If it wasent for covid I'd still be working for greyhound as a driver and happily so. My only complaint is the Greyhound fleet is older than dirt. Literally if you have a car as old as some of these buses they'd legally be considered classics. Other than that my other complaint is the pay system and having to constantly claim your pay through several different codes based on traffic and various sorts of delays, and having to stay on top of it all everytime you see your pay stub. Loved it otherwise.

Can be very busy
This job is in a 24/7 transportation industry. NOT a day time 8-4 job. A lot of away from home. Have a solid backing from your family to drive here. Very all over schedule.
