Great paid company but very poor management
Great company values that get lost at the top of the house. This is a very large company but the Vietnam side is run like very independent and undisciplined company. The issues within the operations do not get a chance to talk with another much and when that get improved then there will be some really great advancement to the company. Your work is really determined by the type of job you have and is really tied to your boss and what they allow. If you have a forward thinking boss then you can do almost anything within the company. Worst part of the job is that there a lot of really bad bosses. They promote not based on technical skill and people skills so some bosses might be smart and some might be not, thus they only interact in public to save their lives. These people seem to also shield you from the rest of the company. Overall a good place to get paid but not a good environment to work. If you want to find a good management team here, please try to move out quickly.
ProsGood place to get paid
ConsCulture and mid management team need to improve

Much office politics at work
Grab Vietnam is a start-up with HQ located in Malaysia and business grown in all south-east Asia. The nature of my work as Vertical Head at Country level is to build new product and service with high appreciation of local culture and people. I did enjoy much my time with Grab as I have been able to build such a dynamic team and trustful brand in Vietnam in a very short time. what I didn't like most is the politics in working environment. This made non-politic people feel tired and over stressed.
ProsOpen for talent

must work hard to enjoy the incentives
> must have a target to achieve every week > keep a healthy body and mind > improve on communication skills and driving skills > share experiences of road block, traffic jams due to accidents with other drivers on the road > work smart to balance life and family
Prosgood incentives in the beginning
Constoo many drivers on board

Good but competitive environment
So a typical workday would be going into office, checking all emails, going for meetings. People are friendly, management listens to you and you get to express your ideas. Working environment is good too

Fun work place
I learned to communicate with customer. I manage to work by myself. I go to different places in metro Manila. The hardest part of the job is the traffic and waiting to long for passengers.

Downsizing
The company was downsizing. There was some racial issue going on at the office but I persevered effectively. Anyhow the company was going through downsizing and I have to apply for other jobs

Good place
Usually the work is very well organized. Management needs to be more certain with a better roadmap. Switch locations within the company should be more flexible.

Does not pay to be a Grab or Grab Hitch driver
With one week as a Grab Hitch driver, one conclusion to those who like to be a Grab driver, It does not pay for being a grab driver. Pro: Work Life balance is good Con: Riders can be quite unreasonable and inconsiderate; Not all but some Riders do not honour the time and did not turn up and yet Grab does not compensate driver for long waits and parking charges and fuel charges for waiting. Very low rates especially Grab Hitch drivers; Does not even pay for the fuel and parking and ERP charges. Many riders commented they could hardly get Grab Hitch drivers. The root cost is because it does not pay to be a Grab Hitch driver or even a Grab driver; even the riders commented themselves that they were surprised I took up their request for Grab Hitch and even the riders know that it does not pay to be a Grab Hitch driver. Poor Grab interface for drivers and poor support for drivers. No Whatsapp or online chat with support. No Whatsapp or online chat between drivers and riders; costing telco charges to both drivers and riders.
ProsWork Life Balance and time flexibility
ConsToo many to count; Does not pay to be a Grab hitch or Grab driver

Appearances are deceiving
Hiring growth is emphasized but mainly due to unrevealed turnover across all levels and all areas of the company. Salary and benefits are far below comparable companies with similar valuation levels. The only job advancement / development does not exist unless you believe job rotation is the only defining characteristic. Management does not provide any resource toward external training or career investment so you are on your own! Grab has also evolved from start-up to a small corporation so expect more bureaucracy across all the areas of the business. Grab also hires executives with personal connections across senior levels so transparent is also called into question as well.
ProsMonthly Allowance Grab rides
ConsInconsistent executive talent and insider family run culture

Work at Own Time and Pace
Routined lifestyle during weekdays. 8 to 10 hours spent outdoor, daily on average. The positives gained are that I got to broaden my knowledge of Singapore roads. Improved on my social network as the opportunity is there. Grab being a ride-hailing service application for users and through means of technology, it manages itself pretty well. Staff are attentive and is there to provide assistance for ground personnel at any time. As long as they fulfill our needs, I believe generally, driver are happy. Having to deal with "ghost" passengers. Off days are limited since not income to generate for sick and off day. I am happy when I am doing something at my own pace and time. Benefits my family
ProsHaving to work at own time and pace.
ConsLong hours, no income for no work, no show passengers, traffic jams

Driving is fun and you can earn a lot as long as you are hard working
I used to wake up early in the morning to go to my grab car operator to get the car. My job as a driver starts with cleaning the car before going on-line, i make sure that my passenger will be satisfied by the cleanliness of the car. Being a driver, I've discovered many places here in Manila or even out of town. thanks to Waze up for instructing me directions. My operator and I has a good work relationship, I always hit the target quota given by Grab each day. The hardest part of this job is the heavy traffic. My butt gets hurt every time i get stuck in a traffic. the most enjoyable part of being a driver is that i became familiar to many places and I used to converse to many people like my passengers and other drivers.

Jenjang karir yang bagus untuk menumpahkan seluruh pengalaman dan kemampuan kerja di tempat lain ke Grab. Good

Amin

Work is everywhere. Nice earnings, could be risky. Fun Environment, flexible time.
Being a grabcar driver, i am free to go anywhere i want to look for passengers. and there is no time limit. i can start anytime i want. i can stop for a break anytime that i desire. i learnt a lot of soft skills such as communication skills, dealing woth different people in different situations, negotiation skills and many more. It can be risky sometimes when i have to pickup passengers in the middle of the night as anything can happen and the passenger could be anyone. The management is nice. I can always call the Support team and let them know of any difficulties or complicated situations i faced when i am driving.
ProsFlexible Time, Limitless Income.
ConsCould be risky, Income not fixed

while working i'm having fun to drive and go to other places
at work sometimes i woke up 6 in the morning to start my day at work until 10 in the evening, our management is always trying to keep in touch to us or call if we need something or to say hi, my co workers usually we meet up in the cafeteria for lunch or dinner and if we still have a minute to talk we share our every day experience our day, the most hardest part of being a taxi driver is the working time because we are working almost 12 to 15 hours a day, sometimes we only sleep 4 to 5 hours but the most enjoyable part in my job is to meet new people around the street while driving, you cant tell who will be your customer, but usually the happy one.
Prosincentives, health card, bonuses and holidays
Conslong hours

Gaya bekerja yang sesuai dengan keinginan
Saya sudah hampir 4 tahun memjadi mitra grab, banyak suka dan duka saya jalani, tapi lebih banyak sukanya, krn setiap hari saya bertemu dan berdialog dengan berbagai macam karakter manusia yg berbeda, jam kerja yg sangat saya sukai, kebebasan dalam mengatur jadwal menjadi hal yg menarik saya untuk bergabung menjadi mitra... Tapi belakangan grab agak sepi order, mungkin krn jumlah mitra yg terus bertambah menjadikan pendapatan berkurang, tapi hal itu tidak membuat saya putus asa, saya jadikan sebagai pemacu semangat untuk semakin giat mencari rejeki, krn saya yakin rejeki sudah ada yg mengaturnya... Maju terus grab indonesia...
ProsBanyak benefit yg bisa kita ambil
ConsTidak membatasi mitra
